Re: 325i Scorpion Exhaust - Swap for yours?
I'm not fussed really. If it is good condition and genuine BMW then that's fine.
I did wonder about just selling mine and then looking out for a normal one but just thought it would be easier to swap.

325i Scorpion Exhaust - Swap for yours?
Hi guys I have recently decided that I would like to get my car back to standard and one of the first things I want to change is the exhaust. I currently have a full stainless Scorpion system and wondered whether someone would be interested in doing a swap for a standard exhaust? I think I would nee...

Re: E30 HIDs advice
Ooops about the carpet - wrong 'Robbo' sorry! E36 install was pretty easy tbh. Just need to drill a hole in the removable plastic cover to run the ballast cable through. Probably the same as the e30? 4300k is too white. I know that is what is fitted on new cars etc but I have 6000k on my e36 and wou...

Re: E30 HIDs advice
Easy job mate but obviously better if you swap for facelift lights. Did it on mine and my wife who never noticed my scorpion exhaust for 4 months noticed the hid's the first time she was in the car I am keen to give this a go now! Did you go for 6000k? P.S - Thanks for the carpet! Not even looked a...

E30 HIDs advice
I put HIDs on my e36 and they look stunning so I am thinking of doing an HID install on my 1987 325i.
Has anyone else on here has done it?
I would want to get the projectors from the facelift headlights so not to dazzle oncoming drivers etc.
Any advice / tips?

I found a short crowbar tucked down by the driver's seat! Can't imagine why!!?
Also, a nice bunch of stuff in the boot that the previous owner couldn't be bothered to take out like a full set of pads, timing belt, oils, fluids etc

Cheers suchy I agree they sound pretty nice, just gets a bit too loud for me sometimes! I am thinking of selling it in a few months time and maybe getting a sports bike. Maybe I should start a new post for this and by all means say you have no idea but what do you reckon a 1987 D 325i sport 2dr is w...

Scorpion exhaust
Ok so my 325i sport came with a full scorpion manifold-back system which is particularly loud. As much as it is funny when everybody wonders what is coming up the road I am not a big fan of loud exhausts, nor are my neighbours I expect, and as such I have even considered swapping it out with an oem ...

- Have any rust repaired (to pass MOT) - Sort out other minor MOT bits - Put in a new carpet (once someone replies to my request and sorts me out with one!) - Put various pieces of interior trim back on properly - 2 new BBS centre caps - Do a service and get that cambelt fitted - Get some fresh pain...

E30 Floor carpet
Just a quick question. I need to replace the carpet in my 1987 325i 3dr sport and found a guy breaking an E30 who has one, but his car is a 1989. Are all E30 3dr floor carpets the same?
Thanks guys

Re: 1987 325i Sport not starting
I have managed to locate some pictures of what the pin should look like so I am going to fabricate something tomorrow with my dad. Re: 1987 325i Sport not starting
Can anyone confirm what I would be looking at price wise for the conversion? How much for bits? How much for labour? As I have the flywheel off and I think I have now sourced a flywheel (I will wait until I see it) I am going to put it back together with a new clutch and hope it works. If it goes ag...

Re: 1987 325i Sport not starting
The motronic 1.3 conversion will cost nearly as much as I paid for the car and is it really a ticking time-bomb? To me it just looks like the clutch bearing snapped and smashed the pin off, it did not just fall off.

Hi guys I took the flywheel off and have discovered that part of the clutch release bearing had broken off which most likely knocked the sensor pin off. Re: 1987 325i Sport not starting
the pin/flywheel can be repaired, as i had this happen to mine about a year ago, it involves taking the flywheel off and making a new piece (if you have the facilities), i then press fitted it and put a tack of weld on with the TIG. a bit of a potch but it was cheaper for me than buying an upgraded...

Ok - a motronic 1.3 swap does make more sense if it saves replacing the flywheel.
I will have to check to see if it is broken.

Hi guys I am looking for some ideas to help solve a problem with my 1987 E30 325i sport. I bought the car from a guy who had owned the car for 5 years. The test drive seemed absolutely fine, as did the driving subsequently for an hour or two afterwards. It ran perfectly and accelerated cleanly. Howe...
