Can get quite costly, but the thrill it gives is probably second to none, so worth it at least. Will try and get down for that one, not too bad to Brands Hatch, and havent been there in a while.

Looks good man, going to have a look at the videos when home from work as well. Liking the look of the white convertible in one of the pictures as well, didnt think they would allow that in a proper series? Thats got me thinking now lol.

Yeah thats a very good point. Its def something I want to get in to. Also want an E30 again, so good way to tie both things together. Just need to get moved in to the new house, and then can start hunting for the right base car. Will keep an eye on this thread and yours as well Rix313! Also any ques...

Interesting to see the figures there. Still something I want to do in the future, but thinking maybe to start on a smaller scale so just for general track use, and then to get it more ready for actual races when can justify the extra cash for the cost of them. And im sure it is worth it, just for th...

Loving this thread. Its come a long way from the start and look forward to seeing how it goes forward from here as well. Always wanted an E30 track car of my own, but not got the cash flow for one at the moment
Out of curiosity, how much do you reckon you have put in to this at the moment?

Little annoyed and dissapointed since my last update. Pics are old now, but still good to see! These were taken around the time of the M3 pickup truck they built last year if I remember rightly. Would still love to be let loose with some of those cars though!

Re: touring lowered or not??
It wont 'destroy' tyres. I have my cab lowered about 40mm all around, and yes it does wear more on the inner tyre, but lasts alot longer than 5000km.

Re: BBS split rim replicas (lenso etc) closest dimensions
Fake splits are a bit naff anyway. My winter rims cost me £300 - brand new & in there boxes and being Borbet, they're good & strong. Is that all the Borbet ones cost? Are they Borbet A's? Thought they had more of a flat centre cap as well? Will have to look in to getting a set now I know they are s...

Re: Touring drift project
Right so Z3 or E36 rack added to my to do list now lol.
How can I tell the difference between a track pad a sprint pad? Want to make sure I dont go ordering the wrong ones. And no brakes is the last thing you want, especially at your level as you mentioned twinning.

Re: Touring drift project
Im a little chubby so will probably need a removable steering wheel then when got a cage. Although do intend to lsoe some weight, so might be able to get away with it lol. Thought it makes the car a bit safer when parked up as well if there is no wheel. Liking the pics Phil. Making me want to get mi...

Re: heated mirrors
Seems a nice simple mod. When you say you wire it in to the motor, it means it will be running the whole time you are driving? Will this not damage the heating element on the glass?

Re: Touring drift project
Ok regarding the handbrake i will try and live with the current set up then and after a few drift sessions will then start looking in to the hydraulic route. As for the steering, will see if I can find a new rack then. Sure will help drifting then if I can get lock to lock quicker. For those that ha...

Really appreciate all the input guys. Still waiting on the guy to pull his finger out so can sort out going to pick the car up. Getting impatient now lol. Phil, what make seats do you have then? Also what is the law regarding roll cages? Are they fully legal for use on the road? Just wondering as this will be driven too and from the track. Re: Touring drift project
Def is, but cant put a price on a life as they say lol. May fit the harnesses with the current seats as well as having the standard belt set up. That way can use the standard belt when on the road to and from the pod, and then when at the pod used the harness. Thinking theres nothing to hit so no ac...
