For reference, I had the same problem - cleaning the track in the AFM did the trick rather than a replacement

If I were you I'd steer clear. I had a 525IX and found that spares were difficult to get hold of except through a franchised dealer and very expensive. Thanks Mike, I'll try all 3 otherwise it won't be much of a race (for me anyway !).

My 320i has suddenly started to hate pulling beyond 5000rpm - but only when under load - it's fine when in neutral. Tested the fuel pump extensively and fuel pressure is fine. Intake seems fine - not clogged, newish air filter. It's had a recent head rebuild and valve springs thoroughly tested etc.....
