It could be any one of a number of things. As Morat suggests it could be an air leak from a hose, it could also be down to fuelling... perhaps blue temperature sensor, or even the throttle position sensor could be playing up a bit (they get gunked up with oil) These are simple to check and remedy. ...

I would imangine so Dezzy as that will be a place where it probalby wont stick and fall off Mark i replaced the sound deadening on an old Rover bonnet many years ago i used silicone sealer to glue it on i didnt even clean off the old glue and it worked a treat :D dont eff about with thinners i want...

I jacked me Cab up last night and turned one rear wheel they both turned in same direction does this mean i have an LSD diff fitted :)

But dont you need to change the whole loom first. No loom change required. I got a 173 ecu from an E34 525i for about £20 from ebay, and an Alpina copy chip from a Zoner for £15. Fitted them myself without really knowing what I was doing, took 20 mins. Now have a small increase in BHP,better thrott...

You might have a high comp engine if its an '88 - possibly 174 bhp :?: Change the ecu to motronic 1.3 and chip it! Cheap & easy mod. But dont you need to change the whole loom first. Hi All,
As above what transmission is fitted to my car as the id label is missing :? all i can tell you is it has no downshift cable just an electronic switch on bottom of acceleterator pedal any info much appreciated :wink:

SI batteries :? :? :? it jump when the rest of the guages jump thats why i assume its related to the above but what do i know i am a novice on these cars :?
