There are not really any gains to be had from an exhaust, but for the potential price difference I can understand why someone would look at a 'performance' stainless steel replacement as it probably wont be much more than a mild steel pattern part. I do know of cases where buying a replacement stand...

Did this sell in the end? If its in your way and you want shot I might be tempted to have it off you... looks like it might fit an M40.

M40 inlet manifold gasket

Anyone know the approximate dimensions of the cylinder head to lower inlet manifold gasket?

Cant measure mine until I get over to the car in over a weeks time and Google didnt give any answers :(

Am I right in thinking that this would be simpler on an M40? This is something I am considering and my car runs an M40 engine. Cars actually an E34 518 but was pointed in the direction of this thread by rix313 as I was looking at twin 45s/bike carbs as a simpler alternative to ITBs.
