Because it establishes that the fuel pump works ..there are no blockages and as the fuse is ok that only leaves the relay that could be at fault ...or can you think of anything else

right ....hot wired the fuel pump and ran it for a few seconds then tried to start the engine which turned over nicely then died ..so it seems to me to be the fuel pump relay as the fuse is ok ...which one is it and has anyone got any idea of the number ...I think it might be the middle one under th...

had the electrics (and the immobilizer) checked so I took off the fuel line to the fpr and it was dry and nothing when I cranked it over so I will start again from the fuel pump and check for blockages

Non starting car
Started fine on Saturday afternoon ..drove to the shops half a mile away and it refused to start...turned over fine... and when the recovery man sprayed quick start in the manifold and it fired (briefly) So today tried a new fuel pump ...no joy had the auto electrician out to check the immobilisers ...

not very much if the covers are in a poor state...its the carriage that costs. they are usually repairable

why not do the job properly...go into the wiki link that daimlerman posted open the link in there...its a step by step guide... and dismantle the seat totally and reassemble...it isn't hard

got eibachs on mine as well and the ride is great but when you do change renew the "Additional dampers" They will be just like tissues after 20 years and when I replaced mine it transformed the handling

Yes I have used RealOEM I think it is these 12 GASKET LEFT 1 51361922167 $54.02 12 GASKET RIGHT 1 51361922168 $54.02 but it shows them as being part of the front door I am looking for this e30 cabrio outer Quarter Glass seal. not tried a dishwasher but have used degreaser /brake cleaner on the outside and thick bleach on the inside...with a long brush on a wire

I had this about 6 weeks ago...kept totally cutting out when on the move ..ticked over ok..it would catch again and go for a bit then do it again ..tried everything ..in the end I suspected dirty fuel...filled her up again and it went away never to return..

The first place to look are the switches ..always worth a service http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/index.php/Window_switch than adjust the glass so it is straight and lubricate the rubber seals with silicone oil which softens as well as lubricates them after you have checked the mechanism itself.....
