Ive just bought a 530 v8 manual. Full factory M5 look alike in black with staggered style 5s.
Its about as quick as a 525i sport, sounds lush but costs a bit more to run lol.

Re:
The car was a £1500 winner. It might of looked like a £100 but with all the safety gear, the 3.5 conversion, suspension etc it certainly cost a bit more.
Still goes to show that skills and a small budget can win against big budget stuff.

What's the deal with the word lifestyle? Who said it often enough to make you believe its some sort of drifters mantra?
Fwiw I dont know one drifter, tramp or posh, who would think welding springs together is a good idea.

They arent really much slower than an e30 325i, much better built though. Not quite as nimble or chuckable but a sport handles well for a big car.
I think Im gonna get one next.

Adaptors were on my list of possibilites when i was thinking about wheels. Baz, you thought about 5x130 porsche fitment adaptors? i was scouring ebay when i came across some tasty retro split rims in porsche fitment. Porsche ones are normally a good call as Porker wheels have high offsets of 50-60m...

As far as fitment goes all e36 head lights will fit all e36s. Its only indicators (well and panels) that differ.

Steels, stock seats and engine let it down.
An s14, two buckets, some trick suspension and some serious split rims would make that a very worthy car.

Look into a braided clutch line as well chap, apparently well worthwhile on those. If you're looking for a slightly cheaper suspension solution I can highly reccomend AP coilovers. Supposedly built by the same people as Weitec. Fixed damping only adjustable height but very good quality bits of kit. ...

Dont think black headlining was an option.
Tbh 328i sports are even less different to a 328i than e30 sports are to regular 325s.
They command a large premium over stock 328s for not much in the way of extra stuff but not as much of a premium as e30 sports do...

Ive owned both. Performance wise theres not a lot in it, handling either tbh. The merc feels more raw, rev happy and involving but thats probably an age thing. Depends what you want the car for. Re: Looking at borbet alloys. What size do you recommend.
Get the wheels you posted in 8j front and 9j rear and they would sit nice. I found when rolling on 9j borbets all round you get reverse poke (which sounds painful). Front wheel sticks out more than the rear wheel. This might be down to the camber on the rear making it appear that way but either way ...
