Been some years now though !
Still think I should have S/C'd it rather than pissing about N/A tuning it.

Re: m30 head gasket + head
They both look like later gen' b35(e34/2) units(block/head) to me as the squish area on the pistons and head chambers match up ? Is the gasket ment for b35 or b34 ? Don't be overly worried about the holes matching up as it's only the oil drain off chanels from the head, the oil reterns back to the s...

So did you just crack the throttle on the stop and then use the Ignition advance stableisation to control it? looked throught the paperwork for not using an ICV and this was one of the ways to do it. yes, only trouble is it wouldn't tick over on it's own for the first 1/2 mile but was fine after th...

Re:
E28 535's were around 9.8-10.0:1 so you shouldn't have pinking issues, not sure if you're going to get much gains with a .8 increase though TBH ?
I increased the C/R 1.5apx on mine and the gains wasn't that noticable. I also tried getting it mapped on E85 fuel but only gained about 6-7bhp/lbft.

What do the bores look like ? I'd be suprised if the piston rings havn't rusted/ceased up having water on them for so long ? The manifold is off a b34, the rest of your engine is b35(E34+E32).
