Re: Touring washer jet problem
I removed the washer cover to leave the nut exposed that holds on the wiper arm, but no washer fluid came out of that either!
I'm thinking I may need to replace the wiper motor assembly as this appears to be where the blockage is?

Re: Touring washer jet problem
Oh dear, sounds like my problem!
Motor runs, no water. I also found a split pipe where it goes from the car into the tailgate. £1.39 inline connector sorted that one!

Touring washer jet problem
Hi All, My 1989 Touring's rear washer has decided to stop working. I've narrowed the fault down to the piece of tube/channel that runs through the rear wiper motor. Water comes out of the pipe that connects to this, but nothing comes out of the nozzle. I've tried a piece of wire in there but nothing...

Re: 325i alarm
Hi Just picked up on this thread. My 1989 325iT has developed an alarm problem. When I unlock the doors the beep is now a tone! When locked/armed it's ok. Reading through some threads today it appears my rechargeable battery is on the blink. Can anyone direct me as to where it is located on the unit...

My 1989 touring's rear washer bottle is empty, but when I go to fill it up nothing can will go in!
The bottle is empty, but a small amount of fluid is at the top and prevents me from filling it up!

Certainly will require some elbow grease!Brianmoooore wrote:The numbers are on a small metal tag fixed under one of the bolts holding the cover on. It will certainly need polishing up to read the numbers.
Thanks again, will chip away at it tomorrow.

Re: E30 325i Possible Diff issue
Just had another look at the rear of the diff, all I can see is a small round BMW badge stamped into it. Where would the numbers be?
many thanks.

Re: E30 325i Possible Diff issue
Hi,
It's a mechanical whining noise. Doesn't really sound like a wheel bearing, more hopeful thinking!
There is a small drip from the diff that I noticed last week, the oil is clean. Maybe it's low on oil? Is there any way to check the oil level without putting her on ramps?
many thanks.

E30 325i Possible Diff issue
Hi, My 325i has developed a noise from the rear, possibly wheel bearings, but more likely the diff. I've got her booked in at my local garage on Tuesday for them to have a look. My question is, does anyone have a spare diff, LSD or normal that they may be willing to sell if I need one? I'm willing t...

Re: Lower Dash Cardboard Trim Fitting
Thanks for the replys.
I've managed to locate and use the 3 pronged collar above the throttle.
I'll see how my 'wire fix' goes before I remove the trim and try and locate the platic collar, which I imagine isn't there!

Thanks for reply, I think that is what I've attached my piece of wire to.
Any idea how this bracket attaches to the trim?

Lower Dash Cardboard Trim Fitting
 Hi All, I've got a 1989 325i Touring. I changed the speedo and rev counter bulbs last night as one of them had popped. Everything went back fine, except the lower dash trim (under the steering wheel). The front three plastic scres go in fine, but the rear of the trim sags down over the pedals ...
