Re: Central locking problem
I've done the red/black relay fix in the past and it seems sound. I'll try and take another look at the relay at the weekend but the connections all seem sound - as do all of the fuses.

Re: Central locking problem
Thanks daimlerman but been through this and it doesn't seem to be a relay problem or connection problem in the doors. I've also checked the fuses. The vehicle still locks using the drivers door so it's clearly working in some fashion.

Central locking problem
Hi all Minor (I hope) problem with central locking on my 1988 e30 325i. Locking from drivers side fine, everything locks. Locking from boot or passenger door and it pops up again within seconds. Wont stay locked. Any ideas? I'm sure I've seen this problem posted before but can't remember the fix. He...

Wheel polish up!
Can anyone recommend a good alloy wheel refurber near Norwich? I did consider getting another set of fleabay, but there's no damage to mine - just in need of a lick of paint.

Re: Flat throttle response...?
Interesting one scottidog - I replaced the TPS as there was a flat spot between idle at 800rpm and 1500rpm but it's still there. The TPS checks out at closed, WOT and inbetween and gives correct continuity readings using an ohmmeter. I did change the throttle body also as someone had stuck a 320i th...

Re: Flat throttle response...?
thanks speedtouch but keeping it standard so no chip here! Blue temp sensor checks out 300k hot, 2.5 cold (or the other way around - can't remember). AFM also switched out with known working one - so back to HT leads even though it seems unlikely

Re: Flat throttle response...?
Air filter changed only a few thou miles ago. I checked the resistance of the HT leads and their all between 5.5k and 6k/ohms, except the short one from the coil? This reads 2k. Someone said it's meant to read around 1.2k but I ordered a know good one from a zoner and this also reads 2.1k/ohms. Fuel...

Flat throttle response...?
Get to 3500rpm or above and it livens up. The revs seems to climb quickly enough but the car just isn't pulling as I would expect until high revs when it flies. Engine is 325i - injectors recently cleaned and plugs changed not long ago. Not a single air leak - been tested with that air spray stuff. ...

um mmm. I think my tension straps are probably fooked. I take it they're meant to have some tension to push the hood back into the frame when folding it down? You have to push mine manually. Where's the best place to source a couple?

Cheers Alan - I did look at hothoods originally but was a little concerned with their 'cash only' approach and wasn't too sure what the quality of the hood would be like. BAS has been recommended to me by several people - but I just don't have time to fit it hence the need for a good roofer!

Can anyone help suggesting a good hood fitter in Norwich or Norfolk? I want to order one of these: http://www.car-hood.co.uk/content.php?nID=2&cID=22&pID=110 But I have no time to fit it.
