Good metal scrapper in Sussex?

Anybody know of any scrappers in the South that will pick up a non-rolling shell for metal value?

Can only find scrappers interested in 'whole' car so far.

Auto gearbox problem (I think)

I was cruising along the M1 when the engine started coughing and the accelerator gradually stopped working. Pulled over and got towed home, and noticed an oil leak from underneath the clutch area, wasn't the best light but had a good poke around and saw that there were two holes open on the side of ...

Re: BMW meeting Notts/Derbys/Sheffield, Monday April 2nd!!

Ah, my apologies, I misread it as a yearly event! Must have been the mention of the year anniversary that threw me off. Thanks for letting me know, but no need for the capitals next time - it was a genuine mistake.

Re: New BMW meeting Notts/Derbys/Sheffield, May 2nd!

Just moved to Nottingham from down South and keen to say hello, when's the next one? This is really difficult to work out when the meet is held on the FIRST MONDAY OF EACH MONTH! I read the first and last pages and couldn't find any mention of that. Do hope you won't be at any of them if that's how...

Those rear-facing seats are so funny to drive behind - anyone sitting in them always feels a right lemon you can tell by the way they don't dare make eye contact.

About 18mpg when I treat the pedal like it's made of thin glass. About 12 when I drive it 'normally'.

M20B20 auto. Don't buy one. Ever.

Soon to be replaced by an M30, which will probably be as thirsty, but at least fun..

Re: Another Mike Burrows 5 series.

You can't complain that cars look the same and then suggest using original wheels in the same breath, it's a ridiculous contradiction. I wasn't the one saying most VWs wear BBS-styled wheels and look the same actually, you were  And in your first sentence you seem to comprehend that BBS wheels ...

Re: Another Mike Burrows 5 series.

Why do people want there cars to look the same? Its a little boring and then... but would look great on original wheels or alpina wheels from that era! That doesn't even make sense dude. It's quite simple, a lot of people believe cars look better lowered. The majority, in fact. The BBS mesh-styled ...

Cheers, hadn't considered the ford studs. Rallynuts do a set of generic conversion studs which would make life a lot easier, as don't have the tools to smooth bore the hubs myself. Keep the Hartges, they look superb. If you can manage to de-chav as much as possible I reckon that colour could actually look quite good. It certainly does in the photos of just the front arch.
