Thanks for reply , the heater valve I replaced is what I think you are calling the cold air valve , the one with the bugger of a screw to get out!
I am pretty sure it is the matrix as I said I think it is blocked probably by some sort of radweld

how many left
Anybody know how to find out how many cars of each model are still left on the road, particulary the 318is and m3 variants?
I tried the website www. howmanyleft.co.uk but couldnt work out how to narrow the search to the e30 years only

Re: Question: Why is there always moisture under my boot lid
Mine was leaking past the light seals into the lights and dribbling out of the bulb holder then running down into each side pocket
The condensation then made everything else wet
As jim says get the lot out and dry it all out, its also much easier to see where the water is tracking to and from then

Re: Heater problems
Hoses correctly routed , both in and out of the matrix pipes seem to get hot so I think I have through flow just very little heat coming into the car
Temperature gauge reaches just short of halfway and is then steady
Roll on summer!!!

Patched the front footwell, and had the windscreen in and out to try and stop the leak.
And then had poke in the rear inner arches and found small holes both sides so more welding fast approaching methinks

got a bit of work to do first
going for the mechanically reliable not perfect show car just want to use it as a daily driver,
cars should be driven and enjoyed not just polished, made that mistake last time it became a bit of an obsession to be honest
