Re: Which Machine Polisher?

a dual action polisher like those two are better if you havent had much practise but will take longer to get the shine back but will be easier to take swirl marks out. The other option is a rotary polisher like so: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SILVERLINE-ELECTRIC-POLISHER-BUFFER-180mm-BNIB-/190396880453?cm...

Re: Head gasket problems!

I've already taken the belts off and head so I'll be leaving it where it is I think. I just put cylinder 1 to TDC so that will help.

Been looking at prices for thermostates and would be silly not to replace it for that amount. How about the viscous fan? What would I replace it with?

Head gasket problems!

On Thursday I was driving to work and noticed my car wouldn't idle very well and was smoking a bit. I stoped and checked the oil level and it was very mustardy so obviously the head gasket has gone. I carried onto work and the temprature shot right up. Stoped and let it all cool down, thought the wa...

Re: what paint brand? sikken or spies?

Out of those two I would choose sikkens but if you can get others I would go with du pont. At work I personally use du pont, ppg and ixell and have used glasurit and lessonol in the past. Basecoat you could use a cheaper brand and then get the best possible lacquer you can as that is what protects i...

Re: Mtech Front Spoiler Paint 'peeling'

adhesion prmoyot is the same as plastic primer, its a clear liquid and basically just aids the sticking to the panel and the primer.

best off getting the whole lot painted, not a big or hard or expensive job tbhh.

Re: Underbonnet foar removal

Thinners will be quickest aslong as it's a good paint finish do it doesn't melt the paint, if not get some panel wipe (degreasor) both on a rag or tissue and soak it and the get ur nail and scrape it off or a scraper and cover it with tissue so u don't gag it.

Re: Glue stick dent repair

in my last bodyshop we had a system similar but was alot more expensive and comes with a good pulling gun thing. it can work but is best on small dents tbh and there is a risk that you pull it to much and put a tit in the wing then have to tap that down. what i would do is leave the wing on and remo...
