I have a NOS 51mm passeger front strut housing available if still looking.
Can you see my photo attachment?
It's the inner wing housing strut I'm after.

Apologies if I wasn't clear before the description I used is BMW's actual description which can often be suspect.

Re: Scuttle repair

You'll likely need the dash removed. Could get pricey in labour alone for that. If you can do this yourself with help try that. What ever way you go make sure the repair is not a lap weld/patch. If it's repaired correctly now it'll save you much heartache in the future. Some of the members on here w...

Re: Water leak

I'm still convinced you have some rust there under that sealant. Some part of the inner firewall behind the scuttle may be rusted through. This side of the firewall is a lot thinner so rusts quickly once corrosion appears. I'd suggest getting in there with a wire brush, or a small buffing dremmel to...

Re: Water leak

Hi pal I hate to worry you but it sounds like to me there could be a risk of rust on the scuttle drain. There is a circular hole in the firewall where water is supposed to drain through. This often gets clogged up with dirt and moisture and so rusts and then allows water to flow inside the cabin. At...

I managed to get a replacement from a website in Germany. Took about 3 days to get to the UK.
