Re: 540i maf?
The US s50/S52 cams provide a nice gain. Some run them without tuning/chip/flash, and some with. But at about $400-$500/set(plus shipping) they're a bit pricey. If you get s52 cams to use in an m50, get the trays. And the same goes for S50 in an M52. The 540i maf is said to be a waste by itself BUT ...

Re:
Ordered an E30 M3 Tach w/ oil temp gauge, which is in excellent condition as described. I sent a deposit via PP. Demlotcrew held the part and honored the transaction as he said he would. When the balance was rec'd a few days later, he shipped the well-protected goods quickly and they arrived without...

I purchased (2) Mt2 steering wheels, they were in good shape as described, fair price as well. Shipping time was a little laggy, shipping price was a bit excessive IMO. When I received them, this is what I got: http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd100/Bimmermike/IMG_5169.jpg http://i221.photobucket....

It's about time!! M42 Touring daily-driver....
This will not be a beauty queen but rather more like the girl who looks great from 10ft away, and can be ridden hard w/o concern, everyday. I had been keeping my eye out for a complete, running e30 318is. I never intended to buy an already-plucked M42, nor did I want an M44 regardless of condition d...

Re: Thinking of fittng an M42?
Nevermind....found it.rix313 wrote:The engine sits further back in the E36 so the sump is different. On the E36, the resevoir is at the back as opposed to the E30 which has it at front. This causes it to smack the sub frame.
Has anyone successfully mated the E36 M42 loom w/ an e30 318i loom??

Re:
Battery voltage good?? Does it crank strong? Is this with the factory coil OR the individual coils? If it the ind coils, maybe it's wired wrong, firing order perhaps. It sparks and spits fuel, maybe just not in the right order. Check, clean, sand, grind to bare metal all chassis grounds while you're...
