Re: The new racing car, kind of.
I just took the splitter off a couple of days ago and it looks like a couple of the clips are broken, as in the little plastic hoops are split. I might just wait until I meet someone at Snet, just so they can see what they are getting, rather than someone being pissed off that some of the clips are ...

Hey. I am not sure I will be at brands for the first round yet so I don't want to make any promises. But I should know by soon if you are sill interested in the swap, Brian?

Re: HELP! 320i Rear drum to disk conversion
I have drums on the rear at the minute. I mean, I can't just remove the drums and stick on calipers, discs. Or can I? I didn't think the drum rear trailing arms had caliper mounts? As I said before, I am away from the car a lot so its hard to just go have a look. And the car is being used in the PBM...

Re: HELP! 320i Rear drum to disk conversion
Mhmm, So, considering I am changing to brembo discs and Pagid RS29 pads. I need what parts?
I am still a bit shady...Its a pain because I am a hundred miles away from the car most of the time, so I can't take it apart and have a look hence the questions...

HELP! 320i Rear drum to disk conversion
Hello chaps. I could do with some more braking power, so I seriously need to get shot of the drums at the rear and swap to disks!
I have an '88 320i, what parts do I need? Or even better, if anyone has already done a step by step guide. If not I will probably do one as this must be common.

Re: The new racing car, kind of.
It is for the PBMWC, and its a 320i.
I have no idea what mine is worth either, its a bit scratched on the bottom from bottoming out, but no splits. Anyone got a general idea?

The new racing car, kind of.
Picked this up a few weeks ago and I am back at home again so got a chance to roll it out of the garage and give it a blast up the road. Can't wait to get out to Snetterton on the 6th :drive: Anyone else on here going up there? http://i428.photobucket.com/albums/qq2/JamesMacintyre/IMG00164-20100212-...

Re: Does anyone else turn the radio down?
I have no radio as i'm using it as a track car...so i always get to listen to the engine noise and having no sound proofing helps!! winkeye Join the club. Plus a custom exhaust does tend to help :D Although, I can only have the windows down about 2" as if I go any lower, the window hits the back of...

Re: Advice please
Finally got her back to Bucks last night after a nice long drive! It was too dark outside to take any pictures and I didn't have any time to get my camera so I used my phone in the garage but you can't exactly seem much! I didn't even drive it much, all I got was a blast up and down the road and it ...

Re: Advice please
Due to me being busy these next few months, I can't see myself being able to actually build a car from ground up in time for the new season, so I have taken the plunge and bought a car already built to the majority of the PBMW regs. I know, I know. I will get some pictures up as soon as possible but...

This is my effort, but grey and black is hard to do from a white car as there is no gloss.

Re: E30 318i with a drive chain, not belt?!
Okay thanks. Just been looking at the 2010 regs and you can't have an M10 engine, so that rules that car out. The search continues!

E30 318i with a drive chain, not belt?!
Hello, I am looking for a good base car to use for the PBMW series. I came across this on ebay and it says in the advert it has a drive chain. Is this a bad or a good thing?

Re: E30 in the snow
ABS is the worst thing in the snow. I hate it, it just doesn't stop you at all. The key to snow driving is not spinning or locking up your wheels. To pull away, all you need is the clutch, and you will be fine!

Re: Advice please
I know its the M40 engine, which is the 8v. I think I have managed to find a suitable 320i anyway.
I will be off to take a look at it in the next few days hopefully.

Re: Advice please
Yes, my friend and I will be doing all the work on the car ourselves (apart from the roll cage) at my fathers warehouse. He is an aspiring racing engineer so it will be useful to have him onboard. I will be keeping a detailed picture documentary as the project goes on and I can put it on here if any...

Re: Advice please
The PBMW series is open to 318's and 320's so thats fine. I will most probably be changing the brakes and suspension as it allows it in the regulations so thats not an issue. The 318i's can be a min weight of 1065kg and 320i's of 1125kg so there is not a huge difference but better weight distributio...

Re: Advice please
Yes, eventually, I definitely want to move onto motorsport but not for another 2 years due to university commitments, so it gives me a nice long time to get the car prepared and get some good track experience in a car rather than a kart. Just been reading up on the PBMW series and it looks a great s...

Advice please
Hello, I am new to the community, so just a hello to start. I am in the process of selling my first car to move onto a fun trackday toy as I am at university in London, so don't have much use for a normal car! I used to do a lot of karting and I want to move onto the track to improve my skills, whil...
