Electrical problem
Need advice....my E30 keeps loosing battery charge. Drove it home the other day and have just gone to start it and nothing, after only two days. The only thing I can think of is that it must be draining power from somewhere but where to start looking?? any ideas or common faults to look for first? I...

Best way to deal wth Insurance company!
Please can I have some advice... I posted a few weeks ago as my Sport was stolen. :-( Have just had a call from insurance company to offer very silly money to settle (£1100). Am quite cross. Insurance handler is obviously focussing on any negative he can like the fact that my car is a registered cat...

The worst happened today
Today is a very sad day, went outside this morning to empty the bin...and the drive is empty. Where my pride and joy of last 10 years should have been, just an empty driveway. Have been kicking myself all day long as to why did not try and squeeze in the garage every night - but there you go. Reg is...

Lost keys.....for 1989 325i sport
Help.... have lost my keys. BMW charged me £30 for a replacement key using the chassis no but that doesn't work either. I accept the door locks could have been changed but I know for sure the boot lock's original. Have tried filing down the rough edges of new key but to no avail. Seems like I'm goin...

Every so often my 325i sport struggles for power. It's a really intermittent problem but happened again the othr day. Put your foot down and she just does not have the power. Roof rust and passenger side scuttle rust
After having a fellow look at my pride and joy (Mtech 2 1989 325i sport) today -he's pointed out a bubble rust spot next to the sunroof and a rust spot on the scuttle on the passenger side. The roof rust seems like it will be fiddley because of the need to remove the sunroof first? The scuttle also ...

Have caughed up and bought a new front panel direct from BMW but when I've offered it up to my pride and joy (Mtech2 325i) Have found it to be missing what seems like five holes which would take the clips that would hold the top of the mtech plastic front apron onto the front panel. These holes are ...

Re: My 325i sport feel foul of the snow!!
One question that hasn't been asked yet, is are we sure this is a genuine Sport? There's a considerable difference in the value of a genuine original Sport in good condition, and an otherwise identical Sport 'lookalike'. If you can confirm it is a Sport (V5 is not reliable evidence), then make sure...

Re: My 325i sport feel foul of the snow!!
If you want to retain the salvage, which you can with Cat C, the usual rule applied for salvage value on cars under £3k is 10% of pre-accident value. i.e car valued at £3k, you get £2700 and keep car. If the car is at their chosen garage/ assessors you will have to pay transportation costs to get i...
