Re: earth point behind passenger headlight
As preventative measure, good idea to unbolt check & clean the eye terminals on those earth points. I had an issue with a non function cruise control. Cleaned up the engine bay earth and presto it started working. As soon as the car comes back from the fabricator I will be going right through it. I...

Re: earth point behind passenger headlight
Everything around the bonnet earths at the point you refer to, except the engine management (top of RH turret), and (I think) the fuse box. I'm reasonably sure that the earths for the relays in the fuse box , that need an earth, go down into the cabin and earth on the bulkhead behind the glovebox. ...

You still haven't said if you have sparks at the plugs. Hi brian. I do indeed have spark. Its run this morning all be it with touch if fire drama I had to quickly attend to 8O I put live from battery to the pump and it ran. So I primed it, then turned the key and bang! Help please. No power to fuel pump. Fuse 11 blows when jumping 87 and 30
Pulling my hair out with this now lol. I've been through my wiring I'm sure it's the same as it was before! Tested the fuel pump relay. Thick red wire has 12v, jumped pins 87 and 30 and the fuel pump fuse blew! Fuel pump is a new item that only did around 500 miles if that.! Its a quantum high flow ...

Re: E30 m60 swap cranking lovely but no fuel
Check to see if you have sparks. I'll check this tommorow mate. As a matter of ruling out, I've opened up the ecu and checked I had fitted the chip correctly, which I had But I've refit the original chip now so everything is exactly as it was before... a friend says if the chip is bad (and hes seen...

I've just been thinking and the only thing different to the last time it ran is an upgrade chip that was fitted in the ecu
Could this be causing the problem of not telling my fuel pump to prime?
Tested the fuel pump fuse (no 11) and it's dead. No power to fuel pump fuse

Yeah I've heard of people using peanut butter aswel. But as Brian said, the heat from using a heat gun activates the oils already there and makes the trim pop like new again
Very effective

I can also vouch for this technique. I did it on my vRS a few years ago and it worked very wellBrianmoooore wrote: ↑Fri Aug 21, 2020 5:08 pmThe professional way of restoring black plastic trim is with a heat gun. You have to get the trim hot, but not too hot, and the colour will be restored, but it takes experience to get it just right.

Re: Tech 2 rear bumper
My car had fibreglass copy front and rear bumpers from previous owner and they were terrible.
No way of bolting them in place, just held on with hopes and dreams.
I ripped them off, put standard front bumper and valance on with iS front lip and se side skirts, but I want a tech 2 rear bumper

Re: Heater matrix hoses help
To update this thread, today i recieved the s62 heater hose and it fits like a glove.! The hose has on the engine side a plastic housing which is not needed on the m60 or m62 engine as the hose goes to a 24.5mm port on the accumulator, the plastic housing is held on by a metal band. Re: Heater matrix hoses help
The angled pipe can be rotated 180 degrees by removing a small indexing bit on the flange where it joins the matrix. No idea if it helps with your problem, but I found it does with a M5x conversion. 15mm 'Yorkshire' plumbing fittings are a good fit on 16mm heater hose, and the annular pressings on ...
