Stainless steel isn't soft? Aluminium is very soft and if adapters can be made from that then stainless is plenty strong enough, but expensive.

No easy way about making them smaller so, 18mm minimum

My tailgate used to rattle a lot but it did quieten it down a lot, main priority was to stop the cracking of the pillars.

I made the brace myself so not an off the shelf one.

I was planning to bolt it to the steering rack and have it extend back to the anti roll bar to protect that from catching on things :) What ever you do dont mount it where the steering rack is mounted. There is 2 holes in the middle of the subframe going all the way through just bolt it to them. ht...

I usually wet sand it after, 1200 on any runs,dust, 2000-3000 all over and polish it up.

Et 49, will need around 10mm spacers up front to fit them, and there pretty expensive new and hard to come by second hand unless you see them in a scrappy

centre bore is also 60.1mm

looks exactly like mine when i got it.

see that pipe next to the vent, that should be in a hole in that vent.
its a drainage pipe from the sunroof. Thats probably where the water is coming from

Had an m40 which wouldnt rev past 4k and a whole lot of blue smoke. had some oil in the water which would mean the head gasket was gone. binned the engine but mabe thats the cause?

I didnt find it that hard at all :?

just a case of getting the right material. even mine didn't feel that stretchy but it got into the corners perfect and used a high temp spray adhesive and a stanley blade. just a bit of patience and care
