I had a similar problem on a previous car and it was a blocked 'elephant trunk'.

Re: Water leak

I've had the rear lights out, cleaned all the seals and reinstalled with a coat of silicone grease. Leak checked these and there is no water getting through there. I'll try the sunroof drains again but I did have these repaired earlier in the year and they seem to drain ok. I've even had the car bac...

Re: Water leak

Both rear inner arches were replaced earlier in the year and I have also poured water down the channels and the water drains out of the car at the front and rear, near the arches.

Water leak

I have 1990 325i sport that is letting in water. A previous post directed me to the sunroof drain tubes and when I checked the drain channels behind the roof lining, and they were rotten. I have since had these repaired and the drains were draining water overboard near the front and rear arches, as ...

Touring diesel

I'm sure this has been discussed before but I can't find it. I currently run a E30 325i Sport and an E36, £200, 318i runabout. I would like to change the 318 for an E30 touring but due to current fuel prices would prefer a diesel, therefore it would require an engine swap. Has anybody put a 320 or 3...

Rear screen rubber

Hi, I have recently had my car in for the sunroof drains to be repaired. To carry out the repair it was necessary to remove the rear screen and when trying to refit the screen the bodyshop had some problems in that they couldn't get the screen to sit high enough. They called in a specialist auto gla...

Thinking of painting rocker cover.

My 325i sport is currently in the body-shop having the sunroof drain gutters repaired and I'm thinking of having the rocker cover painted whilst it is there. It is a dolphin grey car and I was just hoping for some opinions and advice on whether or not this is a good thing to do or not. Also consider...

Re: coloured leather balm, where can i get some.

I used Gliptone. Comes in a kit with cleaner, colour and leather food and does a good job for about twenty quid.

Water leaks

The water in the boot is getting in somewhere near the bottom right hand far corner because the corner of the panel behind the back seat ...

Tow bar

Is it possible to fit a removable tow bar to a Mtech 2 325i without having to make any cuts to the rear valance? I do some mountain biking and need to fit a cycle carrier but don't want to fit a roofrack and don't want an ugly tow bar on show when it's not being used.

Headlamp washers

Can anybody tell me how to get access to the headlamp washer supply tubing. The tube on the passenger side has come off and it drains my washer bottle. I have clamped the tubing up for the time being but I want to get it sorted.

Fuel indication

I have just bought my second 325i Sport after a break of around 7-8 years an as I remember it, the low fuel warning light should illuminate when the needle gets to the red, is that correct? I was recently driving with low fuel and the needle was almost to the last white line and the warning light ha...

Washer bottle

Washer bottle on 1990 325i Sport doesn't seem to hold water for very long. Are there any common places that leak as there's no obvious leak.

Regards,

Steve.

Heater noise

I've noticed a noise coming from the area in front of the dashboard. The noise is only present when the heater is running so I assume it is the heater motor. Is this a known problem and how is it fixed? Is it a new heater motor or can it be serviced or repaired?

Dashboard

I have a couple of cracks on the dash of my 325i sport. I have considered replacing the dash but have been advised that, whilst it is not too difficult a job to remove and install a dash, it is difficult to fit a new dash without having a few creaks and rattles afterwards. Therefore I would like to ...

Re: Restoring Black Leather Interior.

I had a 325i sport about 6 years ago and used Gliptone gentle cleaner (GT12), followed by Gliptone Scuff Master and then Gliptone conditioner (GT11). The cleaner does exactly what it says on the tin, the scuff master puts the colour back in the seats where they are cracked and worn and the condition...

The seat release on the door side of the passenger seat doesn't release the seat to fold forward on my 325i Sport leather seats. How is the seat back removed to get access to the mechanism? Re: Central locking

Fuel flap opens but had to use the key in the boot. The key will only turn very slightly in the passenger door and I'm a bit too worried to try to force it any more. It definitely feels deadlocked, as though something has failed whilst in the deadlocked position and can't be overridden.

Hi all, I have just bought my second 325i Sport after a break of around six years and it is just as I remember.
