managed to get a bit more work done on the car this weekend.

swapped all the windows for the tinted ones that it left bmw with (luckily i got the original windows with the shell)

You have some bare metal to treat then? reeto, thanks for the info, was just wondering cause the other e30's i've had where all black with what i thought was overspray (both had been resprayed) but this one is red all over (apart from the odd patch of black on the hidden areas - under the fuel tank and round the rear valance / wheel well)...

underside factory finish

before i start building my shell up i am going to underseal all under the car to help protect it a bit.

does anyone know if they left BMW body coloured on the underside or if they left in black under seal.

they always got a mixed reaction from people but they made it that bit different.

i tried to get some from BM but they was no longer available so had them made up.

Its got a vin plate riveted above the drivers headlight and the number is stamped into the scuttle

Didn't know its was a diesel lining

Haha i fitted a S50 to my last E30 but didn't really like it as a everyday car so i'll leave the big power for my M coupe. Thinking of keeping this as a 318.

Well the logbook has arrived so can now start to decide what to do with it (didn't want to put anymore money into it before i'd got the paper work)

They haven't been MOT’d yet so not sure how they will go on, but the garage that fitted it put mine on the emissions machine and it was under the limits it needed to be so will have to see what happens when it goes for its MOT.
