water temp gauge and fan help pls
Hi guys I'm converting a 318is to a m50b25 vanos engine. There were a couple of wires missing from the loom comparing to the wiring list on another thread but the car starts and seems to run fine. I read on the wiki that an e30 sensor needs to be plugged in - does anyone have a part number (cant rem...

if you need a standard map (m50 manifold) then I can do that for you in hayes
BW is overpriced, and over exaggerated on the dyno (260bhp apparently from just a m50 manifold!!!)

Re: Anyone have a good solution to keep cab horseshoe cover
Forget all that - when I had this issue on my cab, I wired up a 2 way switch direct to the horseshoe motor (I think I used an electric window switch and put in where the ac switch goes)
Then you simply press the up button to unlock it, and down to lock!

Re: S50 oilfilter housing fitting issues
its a straight fit - you need to drill out the ports a bit to get the screw type connectors on there, and you need a m50 power steering pump

Re: When is enough enough? Car going downhill
You have found the right place at last! The items you have listed are common failures on all cars - As has already been said, there are a few zoners who would be happy to help out, and may be cheaper then garages when it comes to repairing these cars. Also, there are a few people who break these car...

ok - you mentioned motorsport - I assume that you have a convertible and are not calling a sport a motorsport!
if a convertible, then I have eibach springs, with sport front dampers and bilstien b4's (softer) on the back and I find the ride fantastic with this setup

replacement steering linkages from newer cars?
Hi Is there any BMW breakers on here that could try a couple of things out? At the moment, we have the Danthe linkage which works well, but the hassle of that is getting the e34 uj's I was wondering if someone has tried using the linkage from newer models of cars - such as: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm...

building a m20b28 turbo - advice pls
Hiya Ive decided to go down the m20b28 route for my e30 turbo project. Aim is around 450bhp At the moment, i have a m20b25 engine, m52b28 crank from a z3, and m20b20 engine in the car at the moment. What compression ratio should i expect from the m52b28 crank, with b20 rods, and b25 pistons? (which ...

Re: Broken BMW 335 Cabriolet - Help! - whats it worth
how about converting it back to a 320i? saves the cost of getting another m30b35, you can sell the m30 bits to someone else - and you may get better return on the whole lot as its back to standard!

Hiya
Has anyone drilled their boot floor so that you can get a socket through it for quicker diff changes?
If so, do you have the measurements to hand by any chance?

Possible M20B28 Turbo build - collecting parts
Hi All I have just purchased a 2 door 320i, and want to do a 2.8 stroker turbo conversion on it. Ive read the Wiki and it advises on: m52b28 single vanos crank m20b25 engine of course (pistons) m20b20 rods With this, the wiki says that compression ratio is about 9.75:1 - is this low enough for a tur...
