boot problem
ok went outside yesterday to get something out of the boot! only to find the damn thing won't open
the key goe's in turns and seems to lock and unlock but thats it!
is there anyway anyone knows of to get in to my boot with out having to destroy the lock?

If you're talking about the old 5-series (pre-1994) then search for "m30b34" and you'll find all sorts of info on the swap. The M30b35 was, I understand, the M-power version and a bit rare. ok i know this is the wrong place for this really but seein as i dont know bmw engine codes as of yet, is it possible to drop a 3.5 from a 5 series in to a e30 shell! ( i know anythings possible with time and patience,) but thought i'd ask for your words of wisdom before i start to hack at it

The click you hear is the overload switch in the resistor pack tripping out, suggesting that your fan motor has seized. As for the rev counter and temp gauge; the common link between these is the SI board batteries. Are the service LEDs working correctly. ok looks like the service lights are ok??? ...

ok my rev counter and temp gauge are not working! altho my speedo and fuel gauge are... have now checked fuses and still no joy any ideas anyone??? also no heater/fan when i turn the fan on1 it draws some power every couple of seconds with a quiet click but no air heat or anything :( plz help shed s...

Oh sorry.. i should have typed "in my opinon" : The spoiler looks horrible, especially, with a de-badged bootlid.. A smaller lip one would look better...
