facelift headlights

hi,

does anyone know what the green tube is for that connects to the the main beam adjuster? I've had to change a headlight and struggled to get this tube off. I ended up cutting it. It appeared to be a solid tube, i was expecting it to contain fluid of some sort

Re: 320i clutch issue

Not sure exactly sure which is the clutch fluid resevoir. I dont have a manual and I'm waiting for a haynes landing from ebay. If its the one on the LHS of the inlet manifold near the battery, the lid looks like it has got very hot at some point and has gone all brittle. It crumbled in my hand as I ...

320i clutch issue

I tried getting the cabby out of the garage for the first time this year and the clutch won't engage. The pedal feels really soft and there is hardly any resistance. I can't get any gears at all. It was fine before I put it away for winter. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Re:

Treat yourself to a cheap multimeter!!!! A relay will have primary and secondary connections. The primary coil is connected to the control circuit which will energise when you operate the roof switch. This will then close the contacts making the secondary circuit connected to the motor. Use a multim...

Just can't make my mind up!!

Hi, I'm approaching the end of an expensive restoration on a supposedly mint granite grey cabby I bought off fleabay last year. I've tried to do a proper job. Chop and weld rather than fill and bodge. New arches, sill repairs etc. etc. Lovely new paint job. Rebadged. Booked in for a new blue mohair ...

Steering rack or pump failure?

Hi, My 320i cab is making a grating noise on full lock. Initially I thought it was the wheels that were catching, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I'm not sure if it is the pump or rack that has failed. Would it be worthwhile changing both as there is some play in the steering but the linkage s...

e30 320i cab ride height

Does anyone know the std ride height for a 320i cab. A previous owner has excessively lowered mine. It looks particularly low at the rear and is decking out a lot.
