Flywheel query

Hi guys,

I bought a lightweight flywheel quite a while back, i am now putting it onto a M52 lump. I need to know if its pre facelift or facelift as the starter motors are different i'm told.

Any experts know how to tell them apart?

many thanks!

Theres no play in the wheel when jacked up or in the track rod end. Are there any common faults around...

Lightened flywheel - Weight??

Hi Guys, I've just bought a flywheel off Gaybay that is supposed to be lightened and balanced. I severely question this as on the scales it weighs 8.3kg.
This is a M20 flywheel. can anyone tell me for sure what they are meant to weigh please.

Thanks

Flywheel fitting

Hi All,

I have a lightweight flywheel for my M20. What is the easiest way to fit it?
Can i undo the prop at the box and drop it, then undo the box and shift it backwards to get access to the flywheel?

Any help appreciated

DJS, thanks for the info, however i'm looking to remove the brackets etc to reduce weight. I was hoping to make use of the guides at the back of the bonnet and use pins at the front.
Theo are you saying normal pins aren't road legal? As i also use my car on the road.

Re: abs light stays on

I unplugged the relays for my ABS which meant the ABS light was always on. This is an MOT failure so i took my clocks out and chopped the wire for the bulb and soldered two new ones to the oil light. This means it comes on with the first click of ignition and goes out when started. This may not be w...

Re: fire extinguisher Q

My Dad runs a fire extinguisher company, i wouldnt test it I was always told (depending on the sort) over time it can loose its pressure. This is because the original 'seal' has been broken. Extinguishers were designed to work once not to be used a little then to seal 100% again. I was thinking of o...
