Re: can i remove the engine and gearbox as one?
It's amazing what you can acheive with a bit of brute force and ignorance! Engine, gearbox and prop shaft out in one, dead easy.

Re: can i remove the engine and gearbox as one?
They'll be two of us on the job so one will be able to guide the engine out whilst the digger lifts it.

Too late already off!Theo325 wrote: you dont even need to remove the head, or even the inlet manifold for that matter. Good luck with the digger!

can i remove the engine and gearbox as one?
As title really, I'm taking my engine out this afternoon (hopefully!), will it come out with the gear box still on?
The weight of it all shouldn't be a prob as I'll lift it out with a digger, the head has also been removed.

So how much will i actually be able to get apart like this? Will I be able to remove the crank? Also anyone no the approx weight of the blo...

Problem itting mongoose exhuast to down pipe
I'm currently trying to fit a mongoose exhaust to my 325, the only problem is that the mongoose exhaust has a flange with 2 bolt holes on each pipe, where as my down pipes have flanges which have a 3 hole flange, now the old exhaust was a bit of a lash up of seemingly random bits and pieces. So is t...

Body shop in the south manc/high peak area
Can anyone recomended a decent body shop that doesn't charge the earth in the high peak area, I need a fair bit of welding doing, archs, wings etc then I wouldn't mind a coat of paint being chucked over it.

Do 215/40/17 fit 8" wheels?
Can I fit 215/40/17 rubber on to my 8" wheels (rear only)?
The cars currently lowered 60mm or so but I plan to raise this back up to around 30-40mm.
The arches need replacing to so I could always make some modifactions here if rubbing is going to be an issue.

The actual outer arches themselves aren't to bad, I was just planning on cutting/grinding the rust away and then filling it. However there's not much left of the inners at all, now I've found a few places selling the outers but not the inners, is this something you can buy off the shelf? If so where...

Rotten rear arches
My rear inner arches are pretty rotten so I'm going to have to do something about them. If I went to a garage to get them replaced how much should I expect to pay (not including respaying)? However I'm considering replacing them my self as I have access to more or less all , has anybody on here done...

Soft lowering springs
Before using the search function I was all set on getting some Eibachs for my 325, as I've had them before on other cars and quite like them. But now I'm not so sure, so what options have I got for softish lowering springs. I don't want a drop of more than 30mm though as the cars currently lowered 7...
