Re: 9j e30 320i

Offset of 15 won't clear at the front struts. In case of 45mm struts, you will need 3mm spacers. In case of 51mm struts, you will need 5mm.

205 is stretching way too much. Usually 215 are taken.

Re: offset help needed!!!

The size of the spacers depends not only on the offset, but on the shaping of the rim itself. 7x15 BMW Cross Spokes will fit with the mentioned spacers, size 15mm. I've tried MIM Cross Spokes as well. Same size, quite similar design. They don't fit with the the mazda caliper. A 7x17 with 215/40/17 w...

The digital clock and the 3 speed heater control were only issued to pre-pre Facelift cars. The Becker Mexico Headunits were extremly rare. But you may have a look at the wiring- if it is not modified, it would be different from the wiring usually used. If you are not sure, take a pic and post it he...

There are 2 versions: One is sewed in and the uses a zipper. BMW changed to the later version in late 91. Replacing the sewed is not a nice job, but possible. The old needs to be carefully cut out (only the stitching) without damaging the roof itself. The old window had a sealing compound, but I fou...

Typical offset is 13 at the front for the 8,5x17. Spacers would be recommended in this case. The 21 will surely fit at the rear, but should be brought at least to the same offset as at the front.

Depending on wheel size, fenders should be at least rolled...

Re: How to identify calipers....

The vented disc is 22mm, the solid is only 12mm. The vented/ unvented parts of the brakes aren't interchangeable. For mounting the vented discs (which the 325 originally was equipped with) you need new calipers.

Re: Stereo goes quite after an hour

Is the wiring modified in any way? Do you use a non-BMW headunit? The E30 wiring uses a unique system of combined grounds for the speakers that may cause such problems as you described.

Maybe you can post the used components in your car.

It depends on the offset of the 9''. If the rim has an offset of 10 to 15, then it will fit under the fender with a 215 tire and flanging the angle.

Don't worry about spring rates. Read my earlier post. If there is not enough space for the wheels, a high spring rate won't safe you. If you check the link http://www.akgmotorsport.com/e30products.html

They have weldable bracktes.

The M3 ARB is only 19mm in diameter. Connecting links are the same as used by a lot of other BMW. Shown here:

Yes. This is a cheap solution and would be an improvement.

Apex is a lot more uncomfortable than the Bilstein/Eibach setup. I've driven one too and it was not my liking.

I would prefer the solution with the strut mounted connecting links and factory-made ARB now. The Eibach parts are a nice to have, but not really necessary. The M3-like option would be a lot cheaper and effective as well.

That this is not recommended is certainly known? Spring rates doesen't matter. If the wheel has no place to go and strikes the fender, the stiffness of the springs doesen't matter. An advantage is the negative camber, which allows the wheel to pass the fender. In your case, I would recommend spring ...

The deadlock works always with the motors of the central locking. In a case of fail of the electrics, the drivers door can be unlocked by pulling the key a step further to the left.

The M3 link connects the ARB dirctly to the strut. Not the leverage itself is changed, rather the point where it can work. In any case, the M3 setup will support the ARB better.
