Look for the oil pressure switch.
It switches on the oil light when the oil pressure is low.
They often leak copiously between the crimp of the body and the plastic insulator.

It may have failed as well, hence the no warning light.

If it starts and idles easily, try changing the fuel filter.
If the problem continues with a new fuel filter at 1/4 tank it may be an issue regarding the in tank pump (which also should have a pre filter.)

Noisy pump means it is failing.
A year old pump failing indicates that there may be rust in the tank plus a clogged fuel filter.

How much power?
Injectors are sized according to power requirements.
No one can say if you don't give specs of the engine/ECU chip.
I can guess perhaps 19lb greens from an E36 328 if you're looking at 200-230 crank Hp.

sounds like the fuel pump shuts off after the ignition key springs back.
Insert a jumper between T30 and T87 of the fuel pump relay socket so the pump stays on until you pull the jumper

I recently bought two engine position sensors from my local BMW dealer....One them was bad.

If the CTS is good, the DME is another suspect.

Switch your DVOMeter to ohms.
the resistance between the two outer terminals on the ICV itself should be 40 ohms.
the resistance between each outer terminal and the center terminal should be around 20 ohms.
On the latter test, anything less than 15 Ohms means that the ICV is not good.
