Re: What modern cars does e30 match...
Not much of a comparison, but I regularly used to blow my buddys Lexus IS200 away off the traffic lights. The traction control kicking in on his car was almost soul destroying.

I've got to pull out completely. Massively annoying as I live 2 miles from Billing. I've been nominated to go ...

Front wheel arches bubble on these. My 53 plate one is just starting to on both sides. Have a proper good look at the wings on this one as its a much earlier car. IF its not a pricey repair, you should have a good motor that'll go for ages. Mine's 100% reliable, and on original turbo at 165k.

Re: E30zone NEEDS TO HIT MORE SHOWS
I made it to Pod last year but had to bring my nippers, couldn't really get involved with the bbq and beers as I spent most of the evening keeping an eye on them. It was either take them or not go.. I've been without an E30 for about a year now, but expect to finish my M535i later this year, move it...

Which Amp and Sub ?
I've just pulled out the shitty Clarion HU from my car, that looks like a big old wirey mess that a previous owner installed. I've got a nice old Alpine TDM7545R 35x4 with an Alpine CD changer to replace it. Whilst my car is minus its interior, I thought I might as well fit an amp and sub at the sam...

I expect you've tried this already, but the bootlock might not be connected to the central locking. Have you unlocked it using the actual bootlock itself? They do get quite stiff, try pushing it right in, whilst holding the key blade. Works on mine, anyways.

There was a lady zoner who showed up at one of the Coventry meets ages ago in a very low blue cabbie, with her pet dog sitting on the passengers seat. It wasn't Rav in a wig.

Ive got two E46's one being a 2001 330i auto saloon with 94k. Its a cracking drive, much nicer than my 320d, revvier and much faster, and I love an autobox with decent horsepower. Unfortunately, I'll be moving it on soon, as owning three BMW's and having a work car is pointless for me over winter!

I posted this question elsewhere on the zone - what do you guys reckon if I was to get a bmw motorsport tricolour stripe, approx 1.5 inches wide, along the swage line of the car? A bit too council, or would it look OK?

Re: Looking for a daily hack
My missus had a 306 1.9TD for ages, ran it upto 165k with minimal servicing over 5 years with no problems. Only replaced it after she reversed into a Range Rover. We now have a 320d facelift 150 bhp 6-speed, it now has 160k on it, and its been a great car so far....

Just got a quote £88 for both sides, fitted. That gets me a 33mm wide triclour stripe along the full length of the car.
Anyone got any idea how wide a factory stripe would normally be?
