Clutch slipping while driving
Hi, my Alpina 2.5 engages gear perfectly with no clutch slip whatsoever, but while in gear and driving has just started slipping for no reason As mentioned, I can change gear and the clutch engages perfectly and only slips while I'm putting my foot down Any idea what it could be??? Thanks in advance...

Re: Does anyone know who has this car? Alpina cab
A while ago I know, but for those that were interested, I've only just found this thread, its my car, I've had it 9 years in August this year, its not for sale now or in the near future. The M Tech kit is original, I have the Sytner paperwork that goes with it which shows the complete build spec fro...

No worries Gert :) Pukar, yes mate, loved the Storm, had it a couple of years and pretty much re built the running gear as it was a mare, then promptly sold it straight on , so didnt get to play with it really. I used to have a 16v Rado back in the day which I adored and I actually felt was better b...

Re: Boot lock
Thanks Will, the key turns the lock fine to both the horizontal and vertical axis. However, the button doesn't do anything I'll try the steps you've said, but I thought that if the key turned, there's no reason that the button wont unlock it but its all new to me, so I may be totally off topic What ...

Boot lock
I've read about this on lots of posts before but I can't get to the bottom of my issue Ive got a cabby which deadlocked itself. We have manged to free up all the locks bar the boot (think the deadlocked fried the motor) Can hear the motor locking in boot but not unlocking when we do the 12v onto blu...

Re: Cab central locking
Cant imagine every lock seizing at the same time, that would be incredibly co-incidental, so Im guessing it has to be electrical, not mechanical. The question is what, as Ive done all the tests that are mentioned in a lot of the threads here

Re: Cab central locking
Nope, none of the locks work at all, cant open the boot or the drivers door, only managed to open the passenger door by doing the turn key and waggle door handle trick
I'd be quite happy just to open the doors at the moment, as I just want to use it a bit while we still have some summer

Cab central locking
Right, read everything I can on here and Im still nonplussed as to why my central locking is not working. I had a few issues so did the red/black mod and changed the CL ECU and still no working CL. The car is dead locked, Ive managed to get the passenger door open using the key in lock and jiggle th...

Why the price differential??
Being looking at Mk 1 and 2 Escorts, as I've always liked them, and they formed part of my youth. But, I fail to understand why a Mk 2 escort that is nothing more than a bare shell in many situations is worth a stupid amount more than an E30 Surely, the E30 is built better, handles as well?? Not sur...
