M52B28 with 3.0 bottom end components
Just wondering where people go to get piston rings, main and rod bearings from when doing the 3.0ltr crank rod and piston conversion? I've picked up the main parts, but not sure on if oem or other components would be the best mix and what about arp bolts are these worthwhile? I've heard lots of stor...

Call me sir Isaac stupid. Well, i rolled my selves up and turned some spanners last night. So turns out the exhaust shop when they modified the manifolds and made the system up didn't tighten the stud nuts up very well. Not had a chance to get it up to temp but here’s hoping that's all it was. I'll ...

To the speedo in the instrument cluster? I'm not sure, I don't have one in my E21 the drive was mechanical from the gearbox so I just had it disabled in the ecu. I would have thought all the trigger wheels are the same but without cracking open an e36 and e30 diff I couldn't say. Maybe the sensors a...

See I thought from day one the manifold but normally you can pinpoint where it coming from but I'm struggling to do so this time around. You can normally feel where it's leaking from as well but these manifolds get so hot so quickly and it's pretty cramped to get your hand in and have a feel around ...

If you're talking about the hall sensor in the diff requirement to the engine ECU to retain full RPM usage then i can help. I've got two M52 Siemens ECUs that are mapped for M50 manifolds, EWS disabled and speed signal requirement disabled as well. These are left over’s from my drift car, and from a...

Re: M20 flywheel on M50?
^ Not true People are lazy and people like cars the drive themselves these days and car manufactures need to make changes and factor this in. A dual mass flywheel or even an E30 M20 flywheel over an E21 M20 flywheel have been designed to make it easier to set off from a standstill, on a hill etc and...

Hum so just the crank, pistons and rods you've got an extra 40bhp. So with my 260bhp and the 40bhp from the B30 goodies i'm knocking on the door of 300bhp....not sure if it will work like that in the real world but still...worth a shot. This i like. :D Already looking at salvage 330s and 530s....hah...

Re: M54B30 and M52B28
Cheaper for one, plus i've already got cams and throttle bodies so why would i bother going S50? Also the s50 uses a steel block rather than alloy and i don't want a steel block in my e21. :) So Dan is it just a simple swap over procedure then, no messing about at all. I'm game for the swap. :P What...
