E30 Zone

i had a book called dream cars, with a foreword by franco sbarro and the last car in the book was clearly an e30 but looked weird

cant find pics anywere, bet there rare

prob got it in a divorce???

I'll have to join the praise for the zone, I fully quilified as a mechanic in my teens but still learnt lot and still learning more about the e30's

Its waiting for a diff to go in so dont know if im going to break it and its not a sport, was planning to strip it out and take it round the track as only paid 800 with tax and test and 40k miles. Does it still happen when sat still with the motor running? if so its the belts or somthing to do with it.

i've had much thought on the subject and i think i would do the same and store them, he can go out and by any of the cars to use on the road (maybe another rs200 would be hard)

has anyone grinded or sanded a m20 inlet manifold smooth (on the outside) and polished it up as i have started to do this on a spare i have, its starting to look good but will it weaken it or anything?

just a quick suggestion, my 320 was struggling at 18-20 mpg befor i gave it some new oil and filter, now its doing about 30

Mick, - Temp gauge varying between a quarter and half on the dual carriageways suggests the thermostat (~£25 IIRC) is also partially stuck open. It should sit bang on half and not move with a healthy cooling system. Martin. 8O Mine sits on quarter most of the time with the heater on full blast but ...

check if the oil levels ok or could be a worn oil pump?

four brach from maybe flebay or for sale part of forum and as for the power boost valve (if thats what you mean) i have not noticed a big differences in cars ive had them on unless the intake is made more efficiant and uprated injectors but still nothing that noticable
