Damn these things are bloody easy to own

Hi Chaps Haven't been on since around September last year on account of unbelievable amounts of work, and being a cabby owner the car was laid up for 6 months. Finally got the courage to give my little beastie a check over after she's stood in 3 foot of snow over winter, and has had to be left outsi...

Re: Cab horseshoe struts.Try these guys!

even cheaper fix is to pick up an old front seat, take the back off, and you'll see two struts. Strip these off, and voila - they make a great set of horseshoe struts. Often FOC for those old knackered seats!

Do a search for garnish uk, theyre a company weve done work for, and do this stuff, even giving you mock tudor wood alloy wheels if you want. I bet its their system if not them themselves

z3i - unlucky. Seriously though, rather than take a £500 gamble on an original set of oxbloods. buy a £250 set of immaculate leather sports, and spend £120 on the furniture clinic leather colours, and come and see me. Ive got all the kit to recolour them with/for you, and itll save you a fortune and...

jelly - i'd be happy to help you with a cambelt/water change etc - that way it only costs you the parts, about £60 all in would cover it, only about an hour away if you fancy popping over when you buy one (and you know you will!)

Re: Had accident----E30 model compatibility?

Based on that pic, the chassis will be totally bent, which has probably affected most of the items in the front/through the car. Bar the roof/rear & interior, I doubt there's much saveable, never mind ever re-using parts to rebuild. I'd be looking at a cash in, buy back, strip and sell. Add that to ...

Water bottle sensor?

Hi again - my warning system keeps telling me i've no windscreen fluid (when there's plenty). Presumably its the sensor? Any ideas what I can check/repair, or is it just a case of getting a new one? 320i single water bottle.

front fogs

Hi all - im fitting my front fogs - seems straightforward enough, but I cant seem to find the locating pins inside the front valance at the top. The bottom two are there (albeit are only about 5mm in depth). Are these the right size, or has something snapped off? Basically, it seems that the valance...

Hi everyone. As I'm nearing the end of my project, and having just taxed it for the first time since I started it in September, I thought I'd post up a bit of a recap of my efforts and cover the mini transformation for you all. It's not exactly a nut and bolt renovation, but I thought it would be wo...

Re: Red carpet dye

good question, probably worth looking at the local DIY stores - I doubt you'll get a factory finish match, but you should be able to get close. As you're painting from dark to lighter, i'd suggest getting a colour that is ever so slightly lighter than the actual finish you need, and coating it very ...

Re: Red carpet dye

I dont think anything will work to be honest, as the carpet is effectively 'plastic', and plastic generally cant be dyed, as theres no fibres to soak it up. I've seen small areas recoloured by spraying with canned paint, lots of light coats every 10 mins. Not sure how effective it will be, nor how l...
