I do try to Guys, this car has only seen day light a few times since summer. Of late it had a nice drive to the Top gear Christmas special live show, Think I've clocked about 300 miles this year.

Do you think that's too many miles in one year !

The problem was a broken break pad !!!!! Mmmmmmmmmmmm
I know ,I’ve never heard of that ever before..

Is it coming from the back or front? I'm going to assume that it's from the front as you mention the rack..so are your brake callipers on tight? When I break and release quickly and then break again I get a slight knocking sound, I have just replaced the steering rack and I am sure the rack is fine, all bushes/rubbers have all been change as well,
Any suggestions...

Can be replaced easily. The rubber lip has to be removed (carefully, or it may tear). It is not glued. Then the new new mesh schould be laid in place. Tension should not be not too much, or it will later slip out of the lip. Put the lip back into place. Perhaps with aid of a rubber mallet, becuase ...
