It’s been a while since I have been on here but wanted to ask what people use as a battery cut off rather than disconnecting the battery when the car isn’t in use please ?

Front fog lights not working
Afternoon I’ve tried to get my front fog lights working to no avail. They did work before fine. First the switch wasn’t working as the green light wasn’t illuminating on the dash but after a bit of tinkering it worked . Only one fog was working on the drivers side so I thought it must be the bulb on...

Re: boot lid torsion bars
Easy way is to use pliers to pull off the clips which hold the strut on top and bottom. Take top one off first and then bottom. Put new strut on bottom first and push bootlid up as high as it will go. You will see it will be easier to then bring it down to the top hole of strut. Put top clip back on...

Abs light
Hi guys
I have got the abs light on my dash and was wondering what it could be.
I have just replaced the wheel hubs on the front and also new pads and discs.
Could it be a sensor ?
Someone did say it could of been the abs ring on the back of the hub but this hasn’t made the light go out .

Are they easy to get to ?Brianmoooore wrote:Heater resistors only die when they are overloaded by a slowly seizing up heater fan. The bearings are plain porous bronze bushes, and need to be cleaned and oiled with a light oil every twenty years or so.

Re: Auto problem
Mine was rebuilt about 10 years ago at cost of £700 which included a new torque converter. The ZF 4HP22 auto box as fitted to most e30s has one weakness in that idling for long time by leaving in P or N does shorten its life. Also reving in P or N is a no no. I found that out the hard way as the ca...

Re: Auto problem
It's been fine and it has done it in normal mode. Car has been off road for a while and only recently I have been using it daily and noticed this problem.
No sensor etc would cause it ? Just thinking it would change gear crap every time ?
