I have used a 740i item but the front needs cutting and boxing to make fit as it is much wider than any e30 item

do you know if the m62 auto prop is ideal for the chop? I can not find a manual one to complete mine? when you say MB splined joint is it not possible to do this with just the e30/e39 unit?

Thanks, didnt want to take it off and then find it would not fit, I had to wrestle for hours taking the 320 axle off today

Rear axles? 1.6 & 2.0

Hi all, I am looking to change the rear axle of my 320 which has drums to disc's and was wondering if the complete rear axle from a 92 316 tourer would fit? I will be using the 320 diff but am not sure if the rest will fit?

hi, you have made this swap look so easy!! just re-starting my stalled m62 swap (out side build & shite weather) after many hours cutting welding and swearing at my manifolds I have decided to get some made.. how are your performing? and would you recommend them to others doing this conversion?

I was thinking of going the same route, but thought I would give this ago first, actually its the first thing I have ever welded! Im sure they are far from perfect but they will do until funds allow a better option, the budget has kind of been spent on k sport brakes and gaz golds, id love to see so...

I have been making exhaust manifolds fit today, man thats no fun! What et would I need for 17x9 wheels?

Hi all, looking for a new set of wheels for my track car (heavily rolled arches) and have seen some stunning rota wheels but am not sure on what et I would need to fit this size? Have been usings alpina reps up til now but can't see what et they are?

I have a 3-litre dual mass flywheel and 6 speed(540i) , so I can use the m6244 clutch? :?

Thanks once again, I am still on the look out for a manual ECU I think rocking horse poo would be easier to find! I still have a fair amount of work to do before I get to the electrics but I may need some advice very soon

thank you, I am using a six speed gear box so what clutch would I need to use? a 3.0 clutch? and will that be ok with the extra power of the m62?

Thanks for the tips I will give that a go, the wheels are going back on the tourer which I will be using on the next track day, work has gone mental the last few weeks so not had much time to play with the v8, I think there is another day at bedford in october if you fancy going there again?

With regards to getting the engine in and out I found cutting the front panel off the car gives you so much more space to get the engine in and out, but that said mine is a track car and I don't mind it being put back together with an un-factory look/finish just as long as it is strong.
