Track day parts stall?

Just a question - a freind as suggested asking for a stand to sell consumable parts at trackdays all over the country. He takes part in lots of track days and always ends up with breaking his car and ending his track sessions early due to silly things like exhaust broke or spark plugs gone down etc....

yes your all right on the cds tube, but with it being the first cage for an e30 it would be better for me to do it out of erw as i got loads of it available and free.the cds will be along later when mods and alterations are made. as for the cds we order that much steel i could get it at a good price...

was jusy lookin to see if anyone has tried and tested these and i bit of advice.
seems to me the only way to inprove the std item and to get power gains is to save and go for wot dezzy said.

people are takin this to far,i never said iwas doing the cages to msa or fia regs.

no the bloke with moggy is rob slater.his minor has done 11,1 sec quaters running his gas this year.

i have the use of a pipe bender that pulls the pipe through aswell as bends at the same time giving perfect bends to any angle,we do 3mm s/s handrail 50 mm o/d so 42 cds would not be a problem most omp or saftey devices ar,nt cds (the cheap one,s anyway) did a cage for a friend with a cossied up mor...

150 would be for a std half cage with single cross bar.


the tube is 42mm o/d (not cds tube)the price would be alot more using cds

done properly they should pick up on existing seat belt fixings
on the latter part of the hoop to stop that from accuring

but deffo fro track or race then full cage

from about 150 depending on finish and cross bracing etc but a std 1 brace half cage painted about 150 ish powder coating a little more theres all sorts of extras removable cross section,gussets full x bars and harness bars etc this only a hobby by the way,will be at the pod come have a look,only do...

was thinkin of bike carbs,will rev better and still lighter
than the other engines.

i fabbed an inlet manifold for brothers corsa to run r1 carbs did 196 bhp on rollers
the std 2litre 16v vauxhall engine did 150 and with cam,s and carbs it did 196

or even e36 m3 engine?

as title really,is it worth the effort of an engine change to the 3.5
or to fit carbs onto my 2.5 carbs would be very responsive on track i would of thought.

wot power gains between carbs and a 3.5
