It looks like it's never going to fit, but it does. You need to raise the box up a bit to get it on the mounts. Tell the garage if one came out, one can go back in
Well it's now going in for a heavily insurance subsidised full respray. The paint isn't great so instead of having a patchwork quilt of repairs etc, it's all getting done.
So I've had the car back from Dan's a few weeks now. Anyone who is thinking of an e46 m3 I highly recommend taking it to Dan. He even made me a coffee when I picked it up :D So here are the cracks Dan found: http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd7/ross_jsy/8FD12526-2B72-4F66-B5B3-836775DD5274_zpsup3q...
I would go for Bilstein b6's (b8's would be a little on the firm side imo) on a cab with eibach's or H&R's. And m3 lollipop bushes are worthwhile while you are at it.
Rav is being a little b1tch because I bought reps. They weren't cheap, that's for sure. I can't believe how light the whole set up is, especially given their size. Seems to be a lot of over priced turds out there. I viewed 2 a while back and they were both utter dogs. This one isn't spotless, but th...
Hurry up Dan, I'm getting excited to install these :D http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd7/ross_jsy/5F9611E1-140D-4053-9B8C-978253D1489B_zpsdhtly16s.jpg Also bought a carbon airbox for it this evening. The ECU will be getting converted to full CSL spec and a MAP sensor used, non of this Alpha N li...
Please stop calling it a date. I've told you multiple times now, we are NOT sharing a hotel room, especially after your behaviour in the hot tub when you stayed at mine!
Cheers Barry, that's what I meant by pump. F00k paying BMW £2,500+ for one when it seems the pumps don't really fail, just the motor. After doing some reading, apparently it's very common and caused by the temp sensor sitting so close to the exhaust/engine and picking up a false reading. Wiring a re...
Very nice. I keep having the urge to get rid of my E46 330i and buy myself an M3. Where do you for a long drive in Jersey? There's some fantastic driving roads over here. Also the road network is very dense so it's easy to spend an afternoon driving around and not seeing the same road twice. Buy on...
Gaz are shite. BC's seem good for the money. My mate has used them for 2 years and loves them. Still look new whereas Gaz look titanic spec after 6 months
So been on the frag hunt today. Picked up a boot lid as the paint on mine isn't great, a spoiler as it was de-optioned from factory and it looks a bit too 330i from the back, non corroded roof rails, head unit with no dead pixels and a non-bled rear view mirror with the red dome in tact. He also has...
Cheers Barry, very helpful! Today I finished polishing and waxed it: http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd7/ross_jsy/5958C1A2-6274-4F6E-849C-65FCDC3ADF40_zpszobrrne9.jpg All clean bar the interior: http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd7/ross_jsy/6B0178C3-97E6-4C5D-B514-98DF1F4DAE19_zpsfkafmfia.jpg A...
It leaves a bit to be desired, but the Haynes manual 1948 with a maroon cover would be worth investing in Great Scott! What foresight of the chaps at Haynes must have had to write that :D Welcome Luke, I can't think of an easier engine to do the timing belt on than an m20, great way to learn some s...
Going to turn this into a bit of an ownership thread and keep it update with work done etc. So today I went and bought a load of cleaning products and a pressure washer. The car was filthy, especially after taking it out last night for a long drive. http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd7/ross_jsy/98...
So spoke to my tame parts guy up at the local BMW dealer, I've ordered front and rear BMW badges, a rear m3 badge, dealer plates, the little flip up lid ahead of the gearstick that gets scratched to shit, and the lower plastic part of the steering wheel under the horn as it's looking worn. I've also...
