MOT emissions question

Got a 1.8 downpipe on my car which obv has no cat but the original 1.6 pipe did have a cat.

Will my car fail? Any ways to stop to stop it failing if so?

Noisy 316i!

Very very very very tappety but runs well apart from its lack of pull on hills *cough cough*.

Anyway, are the tappets adjustable easily to quieten it down and what are the settings?

Drifting problem

My 316i just wont slide in the wet- on oil its fine but wont even drift an inch in the wet. It gets me down :(

Any suggestions or others with similar aggravations lol

PS the car runs great so no problems there.

No, just the front two are electric, rear are winders.

Its a factory button so I assume it has a purpose.

...in front of the drivers side electric window buttons.
When pressed it shows red around the edge and pops up. Has no markings on.

Mine does exactly the same! My cold start fuel injector (assuming thats the one nearest the windscreen) does appear to leak somewhat, havent got round to changing it yet, maybe check yours?

Hi, its a manual. I thought of that but its fine 99% of the time, only happens when the idle rises and you lift the clutch- hence pulls off the line cos it thinks its been given gas, revs to about 2000 from normal idle of 850ish.
