this is gonna be down to your personal taste and your current suspension set up mate, what you could do is decide how you would like to improve your current springs ie are they too soft/hard too low/high ride height and give Faulkner a call you will find they are very friendly and happy to chat or g...

Re: m30 335 springs
Would agree, the rating for me was really a bit of guess work and advice from the supplier, sent the old spring and the required sizes ie free length of spring, length on strut with car weight on/off, he was able to replicate the load on the spring and therefore work out it's rating and advise from ...

Re: m30 335 springs
Didn't want to harsh as daily road car so went for a 20% uprate over the H&R spring I sent them, so think spring is in the region of 270 ibs ? on the second rating as spring has slight progression to it, coil size is up as well.

If theres anything left sticking out then I've seen it done by welding a similar sized bolt onto the stub. U can then get a spanner on it plus the heat will free it off, does work.

Re: M30 touring suspension choices
I fitted H&R 35 mm springs and cup kit shocks to my M30 (p2.5) and found that the front springs sagged after 8k miles road use so changed them over for M3 aircon front springs. Front now sits slighty higher than the rear but now have some suspension travel at least and no issues with humps/ground cl...

M3 front springs part No. (aircon) ?
Anyone know the part number for M3 aircon model front springs as will be going to the stealer on Mon and want to get the wright ones.
Have looked it up in realoem but when cross reference the part No shows them as the same springs fitted to 316,318,320,325 so that can't be wright.
Cheers

Simon- Know what your saying but I'm sure the shocks are from a 325 35mm cup kit or are the uprated shortened shocks not the same for all the cup kits anyway reguardless of drop. I checked with Sal at the time and was sure I had the right set up.
