I meant (200mm) as in I can stand far back from subject,and not be in there face lol.
I regulary shot 200mm f2.8 and at times f4 at car events this year and simply love it.

Going into the city on Friday so see what happens.

I have all of the above but my macro ring flash is of a next brand. Plenty of FB photography selling pages you could sell without fee's etc

Shoot people. Give me a 200mm and i'll be fine but defeats the purpose IMO.

Well as I tried it with a 50mm, I had to get pretty close to subjects to get the type of shot i want and got a few WTF you doing looks.

Paul, how's the new Art lens? Saw on FB you got the 35mm 1.4. Used it much?

Same over on the Nikon side Paul. Sigma with the new 'art' prime lenses and Tamrons f2.8's are winning in terms of sharpness and colour and as you said, much much cheaper!

Although if you like your 'bokhe' the Sigma's are not as good open wide.

I'm starting to get into strobist/off camera flash a lot more now, introduced it to wedding receptions and ceremony's last year instead of just on the camera bouncing of a ceiling or whatever. Gave it a go on cars, I admit I'm still learning the whole thing as it can be a challenge to master correct...

Well I've used them for 2 years now for canvas and large prints and never an issue.

What is it your printing Paul? Automotive?

There's a load around online.

I use Digitalab.co.UK
Never an issue with there quality.

Go fast stripes add 12-15bhp.

And zooms are for lazy people

Only kidding but a prime gets you thinking about a shot more, composition and all that.

+1 on the 35mm - great lens at a steal.

Looking for other lenses other than the 18-55mm. Wide angle would be nice. Camera is a Nikon D3100. Any wider than 18mm and the prices creep up fast if you stick with Nikon glass. Sigma and Tokina do a couple of super wides but at a guess I'd say they'll give a fisheye look at wide. Have you though...
