I agree, both top fellas, Colin is oze30 on here.

Matt has helped me with my Touring on a number of occasions in the past and I sold the very same Touring to Colin on Tuesday. Both top guys, we should be able to award people McDonalds' gold stars on this forum.

Cheers Brian, I take it you mean that the pipe can just be 'threaded' above the headlining? Mine has a split where it flexes when opening the boot.

No worries Matt. If it's any help to you then I can help you out for a couple of days next week if you like? Not sure exactly how much help I'd be but I'd be happy to be there! If I've got to take the headlining out then I can take that opportunity to replace the split pipe that runs to the rear was...

Sunroof drain tube - re-fitting the little bugger!

I really need to sort out the water getting into the bit behind the speaker in the drivers footwell as it's stopping me sorting out my central locking once and for all. The sunroof drain tude has come detached from wherever it mounts at the top of the A-pillar. I took off the interior A-pillar trim ...

Blaupunkt Security Card

My Blaupunkt New Orleans head unit has a key card for security. Basically, I think the embedded chip has finally given up the ghost and wonder if anyone on here knows of a nice cheap way to replace it? Blaupunkt want Ԛ£20 to tell me the security code, then another Ԛ£20 for a replacement ca...

Buy one, you won't regret it. I've been trying to keep below 3000 rpm recently and you can still make very respectable progress. Very understated car normally but when you put your foot down people certainly start to look.

I beg to differ on the deadlock bit. My car has had a window smashed twice, infact it was the same window (rear quarter light on my Touring) and the second time it was done was the day after I replaced it after the first time! Each time they failed to get anywhere because my central locking was bugg...

Fingers crossed for you, I'm sure someone will answer your questions soon enough.

It's a long shot but my 325 has started gulping the fuel and I've been advised that it could be the blue temp sender that sends its signal to the ECU. Basically if it's broken then the car will always be on choke I think. Thing is, it might not be blue on a 316, someone else will have to give you a ...

As far as I'm aware, I am running the original AFM with the original ECU. So the chip that I bought for my late engine should be ok for the early engine that is now in there? Are there no differences? Will change the temp sensor.....but does this supply the reading to the guage on the dash, as that ...

Did you by any chance run your car with the early engine and late ECU and chip? If so, did you experience horrendous fuel consumption and slightly lumpy running?

An early high compression engine was fitted in my 1991 Tourer in place of the original engine. ECU was left in there, so it is original (late) ECU, with the earlier engine. As for the loom and crank sensor.....I don't have a clue! Iain (Templ8e30) is the brains behind this transplant and he assures ...

Wrong Zone chip???

My Tourer has been guzzling fuel and suffering a slight missfire since I swapped the engine and exhaust, I went from a Cat equiped late 325 engine, to a de-catted exhaust and an early 325 engine. I retained the original ECU. Was going to get it tuned to see if that sorted it, however it occured to m...

Try Quinn Direct. They don't advertise in the UK yet but are big in Ireland. Just had an interview with them, they specialise in settling claims very quickly, thereby removing soliciters from the equation......they pass the savings on.....apparently. I've not tried them but worth a go I recon.

I have similar symptoms since swapping my 325 M20 for another 325 M20, not quite as bad as yours sounds but I do feel a bit light headed every so often. My car also seems to be guzzling fuel more than it ever used to. I also changed the exhaust for a non-cat system, and 'disabled' the lambda sensor ...
