its only a steering wheel, and 20 years of owners...things can get damaged and swapped etc too Oh I know. I'm not looking to buy a Sport nor does the one I own have a mix of Tech 1 and Tech 2 parts. I was just curious. (Although I do believe it wouldn't be "only a steering wheel" if you were lookin...

Re: Tech 1 - Tech 2
Fair enough. I just thought it was curious that they'd go to the trouble of putting Tech 2 kits on without putting the Tech 2 wheel in as well, seems unfinished or rushed to me but as my old boss used to say: "BMW always do things for a reason"

Re: Tech 1 - Tech 2
BMW build specs will state exactly what parts were used when it was built (such as steering wheel/bodykit) and I realise it is the build date which is relevant but just wasn't sure whether there was actually a mixing of specifications...which it appears there was.

I see, was just curious as I know a lot of fake Sports exist and wondered if mixed specs was symptomatic of this.

Tech 1 - Tech 2
I'm confused by all the "Sports" for sale at the moment. My question is this:
If a car left the factory sporting a Tech 2 kit is there any way at all it would have left with a Tech 1 steering wheel?
The reason I ask is that so many cars for sale at the moment appear to have mix 'n' match specs...

I drew £200 for a set of 5 non-kerbed BKs with 4-5mm of Toyo Proxes all 'round. Cheap as chips and should have asked more to be honest, they were a bargain for the buyer!

Main dealers don't replace M V10 engines under warranty for no reason, that would be my first comment...I suspect it's not in fabulous working condition! Secondly, when BMW replace an engine under warranty they require the original engine back so that they can diagnose the issues, test the engine fo...

Re: Sunroof doesn't open?
As far as the two cars which have just had resprays are concerned you should check the fitting of the trim panel (roof lining part) beneath the sunroof. If this hasn't been aligned properly in the runners when the sunroof has been refitted to the car then there will be opening/closing issues. OP - o...
