Clocks dying

When I start my car my clocks work fuel temp and rev gauge then a few seconds after they stop working? I have checked the battery's on the back and it was 2.98v on each all fuses are alight I'm not sure what it can be?

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers

I've slackened the bolts off then I've take the gearbox out and check all the dowels and there in? I don't see how it is doing it as in the starter can't move I've even elongated the holes abit so u have a bit of play so I can move it up and down a touch and still nothing?

No it's the starter and flywheel from the newer engine I made sure that they were the same, the metal plate that's between the engine and gearbox is that the same thinkness between the years?
