Re: Tarox vs Nitrac vs Red Dot vs EBC
Standard solid discs are my choice. Put the extra cash on your next set(s) of brakepads and some good cooling for the fronts. Your brakes should never fade, if they do its lack of cooling or you need some more aggressive pads. (or bigger brakes altogether)

Re:
When you lower it you increase the amount of camber. I think mine was at -2.5 on the alignement machine, even more when its loaded. And my last set of r888s were worn mostly on the outside (warranting the use of even more negative camber).

Re: Semi slicks

They do fit, and you're better off sourcing the calipers elsewhere imo
Edit:
And 10mm spacers either way isnt going to do much to et23(?) wheels, you still have less scrub then most normal wheels do.

Re: Semi slicks
If we are talking road AND track, i agree. Track pads are horrible on the road. But even on BBKs, road pads never feel as good as track pads when warmed up around a track (even if the road pads are on APs and the track pads on stock sliders). Ive put a season on my pads and have lost maybe 20% (PFC ...

Re: Semi slicks
Regarding bigger brakes, it IS all hype and "blind factor". Unless you have 500kg of lead in your car or a significantly more powerful engine the stock 325i brakes are more then enough with some good cooling to the fronts, coupled with a good racepad and they stop EXACTLY as well as 500mm hyperbling...

I am also running mine without a rear bar, compensate for the lost spring rate with stiffer rear springs, better tracktion out of corners.

Re: New boots ...
But the price on R888s is now too high. Dunlop DZ03s are probably better value as they are a bit cheaper and last a bit longer. Really? I got a new set of tyres mid summer and (for me) dunlops were almost 50% more then r888s, still wish i went for them, im not a fan of r888s after a couple of sets,...

Re: Track day set up
Uwe, my car is a full time track car (so no road driving). I would not set my road car for so much toe out. Dave, Front toe in makes the car dart towards to corner on turn in, unsettling the car as it cannot "set" first. Rear toe in is good for straight line stability. Still are you sure you run 2d...

Re: Track day set up
0,15 degrees toe out per side front helped turn in (my car anyway), any more will just eat tires and do nothing (on my car) Camber front depends so much on what tire you run, been doing -3.5 with r888s and its WAY to liberal, i'd go 5 if i could, last tires i went through was only down max 1mm from ...

Re: Arai GP-5W XL for sale
Just the helmet i want, and in the right size, AND a bargain!
But in the wrong country, and at the wrong time financially (money need to be spent on cage and other pre-garage season items)
Good luck with your sale, after its sold please tell us what you disliked about it that made you sell it.

Re: 'Shit stain' left over after stripping out sound deadeni
I seriously cant imagine there NOT being the equivilent to our "Label off" in Britain. Its stuff you use to pretty much get sticker-glue and stuff off, we have several different brands with it here. You just spray it on, wait 5 minutes and wipe off EVERYTHING, messing with white spirit and petrol mu...

Ah ok, a cat is a requirement for all racing (i think) over here, still a great price for a complete exhaust thats built for racing.Nine468 wrote:It the FULL exhaust from downpipe back, "not including downpipe". NO cat needed.

The Klarius one, is that for the whole exhaust with cat, or after cat? I need a new exhaust for my 325 bmwcup, (like pbmwc but in Sweden) everything after header (must be standard in my class)

Re: 'Shit stain' left over after stripping out sound deadeni
Here in Sweden we have something called "Label off" and im sure something similar is available over there. You just spray it on thick, leave it for 5 minutes and wipe it off, smells of lemons and is totally hazard free to get on your hands or anything. It dissolves the glue residue and leaves clean ...

Re: E36 328i vs E30 328i as a track car?
e36 compacts have the same rear suspension as e30s tho ;P They are however massively popular here in sweden for trackdays and "our" pbmwc. On some days they even rival e30s in number, always outnumber all other shells of e36 if you dont count m3s and for two years running its been a compact that won...
