Hi,
Great to find this.
I'm thinking of putting the 318tds into an e30 touring.
I can't find details on a few items.....
What engine mounts were used.
Did you have to modify the sump to fit the e30 subframe.?
What gearbox was used? and what prop?
thanks.

Re: Stolen E30 parts - Ireland
I know this lad also he's gutted.
I don't know about the rest of ye, but my tools are way more costly to replace than any shell or engine.

Re: Really bad idle for first 30 secs
If it's not been driven for a while, chances the whole lot could do with a can of Carb cleaner.
pay particular attention to the AFM, ICV and your throttle baffle.
It'll involve a small bit of pulling pipes off, but you should have it done in an hour.

A lot of work for not much gain.
Why would you anyway, is it for the torque or is it the MPG you are after

Re: Fuel Guage issues
Simple fix,................. remove the cluster, remove the white/blue rear cover, be careful to remove both small nuts from behind your temp and fuel gauges along with all the little screws. pull the gauge from the PCB, you'll see the threaded bolt at the rear makes a contact with a track on the PC...
