It was introduced for the E36 I believe so only got used on late E30s. My old Tech II Sport

I'm buying a new scuttle for my car and the dealer wants my VIN and serial number. The existing scuttle (which I think has already been replaced once before) only has the VIN stamped on it. Where can I find the serial number and what is it exactly? I've got the VIN, engine number and engine code?

I can check the vin for you if you want to pm me the number. If its genuine it must have been painted at some point so I guess you should be able to find some evidence of that?

Is the steering tge same number of turns lock to lock? It is a quicker rack on the M3 but it could do with being a little quicker again sometimes to be honest. Also, why do e30 m3s rust more than e30s? Or is it just the case that because it's an m3, they don't get scrapped as an ordinary e30 may. :...
