Not yet! Had another kid which slowed things up (only for a few years mind!) but all being well should be back on the road soon. Famous last words.

It's up at a place in Chester. Hopefully should have it back for next summer and I'll call in when I'm back on the road.

Re:
It's partly cost but I think the main thing is being able to enjoy the M3 at normal road speeds. The Porsche was epic but you had to be going Mach 3 to really enjoy it. It was really superb on track days but on the road it became a bit of a chore pottering around. I guess with a non turbo 993 you wo...

Re:
Not a 993, but I had a 964T. Lovely car but I sold it and purchased an M3, and I wouldn't go back. it was horrifically expensive to run and although it was great to drive, once you got over the initial excitement of the speed, the M3 is just more rewarding to drive. A 993 RS or Turbo would be a wort...

There's a guy called Markus on www.S14.net who does carbon fibre ones. About £200 shipped from Germany. He's got an online shop although I can't find it on there at the moment - http://www.bmwm3shop.de/

Not got any photos at the moment but thanks for the offer. Floors would be nice in one piece really ; Rear seat to top of foot wells. The bulkhead is worse in the usual place under the fuse box.

Re: Facelift & Pre-facelift Shells The Same?
Just seems a bit bonkers if you can find a shell/car thats not rotten to start with to start chopping lumps out of it to weld into another car  - being as genuinely rot free cars are so thin on the ground now especially chrome turds. Good luck with it anyway :D Cheers :) It's an Evo II so it d...

Re: Facelift & Pre-facelift Shells The Same?
floor pan bulkhead area's are pretty much the same Ben, on all E30's bar the cabby which is narrower due to the strengthened sills you may be better off with a LHD because of the pedal mount, steering column area ? Thanks Steve. LHD would be great but there ain't many about. You wouldn't be hoardin...

Re: Facelift & Pre-facelift Shells The Same?
Not being funny but what makes you think you can find a scrap shell thats not rotten in the same places as your M3 ? Being as they all seem to rot out in pretty much the same spots in the floor and bulkhead. Better just to get someone who knows what they are doing to fabricate repair plates and do ...

Facelift & Pre-facelift Shells The Same?
Are facelift and pre-facelift shells the same? I know the rear arches and bumpers are different but is the basic shell the same? Specifically I'm looking for a donor shell at the moment for my '88 M3 which needs floor and bulkhead repairs. The metal work can be made up but using a chopped up car wou...

I've had both and would stay with the E30. I like the look of the 944 but my 325 Sport felt much more modern than the 944. Everything about the 944 just felt much more fragile and although there are plenty of good indies and second hand parts available, it always seemed more expensive to run than th...

Finding The Body Serial Number?
I'm buying a new scuttle for my car and the dealer wants my VIN and serial number. The existing scuttle (which I think has already been replaced once before) only has the VIN stamped on it. Where can I find the serial number and what is it exactly? I've got the VIN, engine number and engine code?

I can check the vin for you if you want to pm me the number. If its genuine it must have been painted at some point so I guess you should be able to find some evidence of that?

Re: E30m3 v standerd e30?
Is the steering tge same number of turns lock to lock? It is a quicker rack on the M3 but it could do with being a little quicker again sometimes to be honest. Also, why do e30 m3s rust more than e30s? Or is it just the case that because it's an m3, they don't get scrapped as an ordinary e30 may. :...

Re: E30m3 v standerd e30?
I've owned a 325 sport and M3 Evo II. The 325 has a much smoother engine and handling is a good compromise between sporty and comfort. Great for a daily driver. The 4 pot in the M3 is much rougher and is initially disappointing after driving the 6 pot 325. It's quite lumpy and doesn't have much torq...

Re: TOYO T1-R's or Goodyear Eagle F1's
I've got T1R's on the M3 too. Can't fault them for the money and I've used them on a few other cars. I had a 500bhp Mustang shod with T1R's and they coped well with the power and weight. Did one trackday on them in the Mustang and they did go too soft and lose traction quite quickly, but never had t...

I opted for the SMG because I found the clutch incredibly heavy on the manual. I find that quite surprising. I don't think it's much heavier than the other E46's that I've driven really (318, 325, 330) and I use mine every day. guys what can i expect to pay for one of these realistically ? the ones...
