Re: Central locking not working

Have a look at the control module normally located in the drivers foot well behind the speaker, not sure what side it will be on your M3. If it's damp then it may have given up. Take the speaker out, and it's below that, a black box about the size of a packet of cigs.

Happened to me a few years ago in my M Tech 1 Sport, was having fun in it one day, pulled up to a set of lights and noticed it was running on 5. I think number one had snapped. Engine still ran though obviously didn't sound right running on 5. Head came off, replaced more than just the broken one an...

What month of 1983 did they launch the E30 ?

Reason I ask is I've just acquired a german spec 323i. In the service book it looks like it's a November 1983 model. Is that quite early ? Some snaps of the car will be on here soon as it's got some ( well I think so ) rare bits.

I've never seen my test station test the front fogs on any car, I'm 99.9 % positive they aren't part of the test. The rears are of course, any doubt get them to check in their book they'll have on site which lists different parts of the car and reasons for issuing a failure.

All others it's up front unless anyone knows otherwise. The SE part of the spec of the car had nothing to do with the battery being in the back ...
