Re: Engines!
yea it isnt running right i know that its on the wrong ecu for a start and needs a service.....but i like the idea of a 3.5! it is still powerful low down but isnt quick....it perks up big time at 5K upwards.

Re: Engines!
Ill have to keep my eyes open for a full car and in the meantime obtain a prop and engine mounts etc. All the E34 535’s I can see are about £1000 so will need to keep looking!
If you know of any then do please let me know.
Thanks

Based in Leyland near preston. Yea looking around for a donor car as we speak. I presume it doesn’t matter whether I get a 535 or 635? And auto or manual? Im currently doing a red top nova conversion and a redtop kit car so im pretty clued up on engine swaps at the minute!. I presume it would be bes...

Im currently gathering in money from selling my mk2 golf gti (if anyone is interested in it its mint ;-) ) selling few bits off my nova and astra and also I could sell the engine from my E30. It’s a M20B27 oh and the LSD. Just wanting more usable pow...

Engines!
Hi, Im looking in to the possibility of an engine swap from my 2.7. What are the best engines to put in an E30? I have been looking at 3.5 but this seems quite complicated with shortening props, customs mounts etc. Is there any direct swaps? Cost needs to be relatively low but I can of course sell m...

I am the exact same though fuzzy. I want one as they look the dogs danglers but whats the point on buying one. It’s a badge of respect for the car. I wouldn’t let my car have one unless its been round the ring. Once my car is running right im off over to Germany to EARN one

Re: M20B27 Engine Modifications
it is wrote in the service history what engine was put in. The car had a lot of work done on it all at once. Engine swap, gearbox, lsd, full leather recaro and alpina wheels. Plus my mate who has a 2.7 has checked it over and it is exactly the same as his. to be honest everything is so up in the air...

Re: M20B27 Engine Modifications
that would certainly give me more power and better response. I have megasquirt on my kit car and wouldnt want to do it on another car.
Cams, remap and BBTB is definitely an option.
arent lightened flywheels hard to fit? suppose it would give me the chance to change my clutch whilst im there.

M20B27 Engine Modifications
I am looking at doing some engine mods to up the power on my M20B27 engine. What would people suggest as some cheap but effective mods? So far im looking at a chipped ecu, forced induction, possibly some fast road cams (regrinds possibly) and some bigger injectors. Im going to start with the best an...

Re: Noisey Injectors
its a ticking that gets faster and louder with the accelerator pedal and not speed which means it must be down to something like injectors.
Does the exhaust manifold rattle or catch?
Thanks

Noisey Injectors
Hi,
My car has a very loud ticking noise coming from the engine it increases with acceloration and quitens down when my foot is off the pedal. The noise i believe is the injectors but it sounds like its under my dash.
any ideas?
