Gama did several 1/43 scale E30 variants in the late 80's early 90's including a 2 door 323i in silver, a 325i touring in silver and a pre-facelift convertable in silver and also white. I have all of these except the white one which I gave to Lizzie at the E30 21st bash at Rockingham. They also did ...

IIRC there's a few versions of this Fujimi kit, 1. Standard 323i 2. Alpina C1 2.3 3. Racing version 4. Hartge H26 5. An M3 (though the box art describes it as an M325i and is basically the same chassis with an M3 body on it...) I picked up a built racing version a couple of years back. It's not a ba...

The fracture usually occurs where the thick walled metal tube that forms the basis of the hinge for the backrest is welded to the thin metal of the seat frame side. Seat bases are easy, if a bit fiddly and time consuming to strip down. Just remove all the metal clips and split metal rings and remem...

Help! Sport seat frame repair

The squab frame on my drivers side sport seat is knackered (feels like the frame has broken!) and I'm either looking to get it repaired or to replace it with a spare frame (thanks Simon). Has anybody had any experience of stripping/dismantling the seat base? How difficult is it? I was thinking of pu...

your touring has very low gearing. thats why it feels so quick, but in the real world no quicker. your car is best suited to a 3.6 diff.

the sport box is a really nice box, first gear is lovely. much longer than that standard box.
Aah, I see, thanks Jon, that explains it

So what would a 325i touring with a 3.91 LSD diff have then? Maybe I'm driving it wrong but 60 only comes up in third but she pulls like a fcuking train with no discernable drop in power while getting there....

Out of curiosity what's the advantage of the shorter ratios on a sport box? Quicker accelration? First seems pretty damn short on my standard box anyway!!!

I personally like 23 a lot, it's clean and simple and the silhouete is distinctive, but how about different versions for a cab, a touring and an M3? That way its a common logo but everybody can have one to suit their E30? Can anybody oblige with a bit of photoshopping?
